BUYER BEWARE - One year ago, I bought a beautiful classic car from Wagoner's. It was sold to me as a body-off restore. I had no problem paying a premium price for it. Within 2 weeks of receiving it, I started having problems with it. It evolved from one problem to another during the whole 2020 year. The only place it was driven was to various locations for repairs and then sometimes it had to be towed. Problems included left rear quarter panel cracked from bottom to top as well as other body work, transmission needed rebuilt, power steering pump needed rebuilt, carbs needed rebuilt, points and plugs were burnt, steering shaft was bent, front wheel bearings needed washed and repacked, needed a new speedometer, etc, etc. This all entailed $25K. With a body-off restore, one would expect everything to be in tip-top shape by most standards. Unfortunately, this was a PIG with LIPSTICK.
Just another update on 6/28/2021 .... I only contacted Wagoners to let them how bad this car was. Through year 2020 and now 2021, I continue to encounter problems with it as I start to drive it coming out of the COVID year. I never ever asked for money back or anything else. A body seam cracked the paint so body work was needed, transmission had to be rebuilt, power steering pump had to be rebuilt, power steering controller had to be rebuilt, wind shield wipers didnt work, control arms had to be tightened, steering shaft was bent, front brakes were worn out, speedometer had to be replaced, carbs had to be rebuilt, points and plugs were burnt, rear shocks were worn out, front bearings were washed and re-packed, pitman arm needed tightened, radiator hoses were leaking. Again, this car was sold to me as a body-off restore car. Definitely...

I searched for a classic car for a long time coming across so many scams, misrepresented vehicles and deceiving photos. I drove hundreds and hundreds of miles to go look at vehicles only to find that I was lied to over the phone or email. After finding so many dishonest people selling classic cars I almost gave up my favorite hobby, classic cars. I placed a call to Wagner's Classic Cars with much skepticism due to my previous experiences. When I spoke with Scott Wagner, he provided the details of the vehicle I was interested in. I was very distrusting at this point not due to anything Scott said but due to all of the dishonest people I dealt with before at other classic car dealerships so I made the trip to Wagner's Classic cars to view the vehicle for myself. When I arrived at Wagner's Classic Cars I was greeted by Scott and he showed me the vehicle. The vehicle was everything that Scott had described and more! I found Scott to be very honest and easy to deal with. The other vehicles on his show room were first rate as well. I would have bought two vehicles but garage space was a limiting factor at this time. He definitely seems to hand pick the best cars. Scott helped me with shipping and made the purchase very easy. I now have one of my dream vehicles in my garage!! The next time I purchase a classic car my first phone call will be Scott Wagner.
I didn't mention that I'm one of the most detailed and picky people when it comes to classic cars so if Scott can make me happy I'm sure he will exceed your expectations.
If you are in the market for a classic car give Wagner's classic...
Read moreI've been taking my vehicles here since 2008. I've always been pleased with the body work completed on my and my mother's vehicle.
I previously drove a 2004 Saab that incurred major damage to the back end of the vehicle due to another vehicle rear ending my vehicle at about 30-40 miles per hour. The damage was close to $6k and required extensive painting. The vehicle also required special paint; it was a multi-layered metallic paint. So, I was concerned how well it would turn out. But it turned out extremely well. I'll even go as far to say that the body work was undetectable unless you pulled a Carfax report.
I also had a problem with my Saab's drivers side mirror detaching and breaking. Happened two times. They replaced it each time and they were about $100-$150 cheaper than Aristocrat motors and other body shops in their general location.
Their employees are friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. Some of the nicest people I've ever dealt with work at Wagner's. They also are typically able to get customers in quickly for body shop work, which is a huge plus. My only complaint is they are not closer to our house. We live in Olathe and their location is in Bonner Springs.
On a side note, they have a beautiful showroom with classic vehicles on display.
I would definitely recommend this body shop to...
