We live in Bonner & had never been to Red Fortune before so decided to give it a try on a cold wet Saturday afternoon. We ordered the meal for 2. My husband had hot & sour soup and he liked it. The gentleman who was our server, acted like he wasn't listening to me, just my husband. He brought him a coke & glass of water. While I had to as 4 times for a diet coke. Which I finally received when my actual meal was brought - it was flat & the drinks were served in small glasses with huge ice cubes...$1.95 & we never got asked for refills. The appetizer plate had an egg roll that appeared to be burnt and whatever was inside smelled badly!! The other items were burnt as well, we didn't eat but small bites. The Triple Delight was did not taste right, it was slimy as if it had been sitting around a while. The sweet & sour chicken had such an odd taste that we didn't take but 3 bites between us. Our server FINALLY came back to give us our ticket, with bags & containers in tow. We abruptly stopped him and explained it was the WORSE food we'd ever eaten. He shrugged & walked off, no one offered to comp our ticket at all and truth be told I just wanted to leave. $33.00 later we were at home eating sandwiches. After talking about it we realized that they probably need to clean their fryers. Be more courteous when told a customers opinion. I will not go back . I have nothing good to say about experience there. I would say it was more...
Read moreMy family have been coming here for years. We used to go once a week, but now only go once every 2-3 months. The food is great. The service used to be great until about 8 years ago when it was acquired by the new owner. The waiter and staff behind the counter act like they don't want to be there. They used to constantly ask if anything else was needed and topped off our drinks under the old owner. Now, they only come to your table when ordering and drop off your food or your check. The waiter makes frequent mistakes, he will give us the wrong food, and we have to ask for stuff. He rushes, so he can go out and smoke or talk on the phone. Never ask if we need anything else or give us refills while we are there. If I need something, I have to go to the counter and ask for it. I usually get take out so I have minimal interaction with the staff. If I do dine in, staff will argue when I ask for a little extra sweet and sour sauce for my entree. My mother asked politely for something from the waiter and he raised his voice to her. I just visited recently for dine in. I asked for some sweet and sour to go for my leftovers and was only given an empty container to take a little of the sweet and sour that was left in the dish they gave me at the beginning. Wasn't much to put on my leftovers. Food is great, service is less...
Read moreI used to like it. I don't now. Never going again.
Sauce is way salty on most things. They don't pack the rice very well at all and almost all Chinese places you get a ton of rice and they pack it down. When u eat in, yes they are super fast at serving and giving your food.. But the guy there will also stand behind or beside the counter and literally state at you until u finish then rush over to u and give you your ticket to pay. Almsot like they want u to hurry and gtfo. The shrimp in rice is tiny and not good.
I forgot to order a big cup of red sauce(i don't eat my food without) and i didn't have cash. They cant charge 1$ on a card. So i had to look in my car.. Didn't find any change in there.. Went back in asked if they had any smaller cups.. They do but it's literally the size of my finger.. So I had to drive all the day home just to find a dollar.. Then drive back đ they have me such a hard time over a big cup of red sauce..
The only good thing about this place is fast service, chicken fried rice is good and cheap lunch meals...
