ALDI — Local services in Bordentown Township

The produce and the groceries are great! However the staff, particularly some of the women in management....just horrible and rude! I shop here at least 3x per week. And nearly every manager has the worst attitude. I can't stay quiet anymore. On 10/5, I ran in to grab a few items. Lucky me, I found a coho salmon marked down to 50%. I proceed to self check out with my 6-7 items. You have to request staff when items are marked down, which I did. The young male cashier came over to assist but he was not successful and called over the manager. She proceeds to yell over the aisle to the cashier that I (me, the customer standing next to her) had not requested assistance. I explained to her that I did bu hitting the blue "OK" button, he (the cashier) tried to assist and the screen reset which is why she was called. She rudely says well whatever it doesn't look like it. She then adds the wrong discount (30%) and had to be called again! She says over the walkie-talkie to the cashier "I took 30% off what does she want." I proceed to explain the mark down is 50% not 30%. A different manager came over to make the correction because the first one let pride and ego take over. It's is a heck of a thing.

Listen the whole point of this is, if you do not like client-facing jobs, DO NOT APPLY AND ACCEPT them! The world is mean enough these days, buying groceries shouldn't be filled with rude behavior and attitudes! Especially when the...

I couldn't live without Aldi! People don't give it enough credit. First off this place is great on prices! I always get so many things here for a fraction of what I would pay somewhere else. Second they have a great selection of fruits and veggies. Sometimes quality can slack in certain items but they will return and refund any defective foods. Organic options available. Third you can get baby food, toilet paper, cleaning products, seasonal items, home goods, and pet supplies here! Don't forget your bags because they do charge. (Which all grocery store should do!) The best thing but some consider the worst is bagging your own groceries. I don't mind doing it that way I can load my bags how I like so everything is easier to put away when I get home. Really a great store with friendly hard working employees. Never see any slacking or hear any complaining. They also offer public restrooms which are clean. Last thing don't forget...

Over the last six months, the staff at this Aldi has become increasingly rude and disgruntled. Examples inclue gruffly saying, "Move!" when polishing the floors, rather than "Excuse me," gossiping about supervisors and co-workers, and giving exasperated sighs when asked for out of reach items. Obviously, the prices are great. I love Aldi's double back guarantee. However, there have been a couple times recently that I found my fruit rotten when I came home.
