Our team worked with Bites of Boston to host a private culinary tour for our clients earlier this fall. It was an extraordinary experience from start to finish! This was the first night of a conference and our clients were thrilled to be invited to such a unique and thoughtfully planned event. The restaurants Bites of Boston selected were amazing – the food was delicious, the ambiance and seating were perfect for our small group, and everyone so enjoyed hearing the engaging stories and family history about each restaurant.

Our guide, Katie, was phenomenal. Her knowledge of the restaurants, their history, and the neighborhood was fantastic. She went above and beyond. She was attentive throughout the entire tour, facilitated interesting introductions to restaurant owners, and brought great energy to the event.

The Bites of Boston team worked with us closely from day one to customize the tour to fit our group's needs, and we are beyond grateful for their help with all of this extra planning. It was a 10/10 experience!...

Great tour with fun history, a lot of food and a nice amount of walking around the city. Katie (#102, apparently 2 Katies work for this company) was friendly, knowledgeable and a great guide. She made everyone feel comfortable and provided a lot of fun history facts about the city as well as its food but was not overpowering. The food was great and there was a lot of it. You definitely do not need a meal after this tour and it is coordinated to almost start with an appetizer, the beans and brown bread and end with dessert. The boston cream pie. All of the food was very good and each stop came with history about the food at that location. Katie also mentioned the history of some other restaurants that we didn’t stop at. There is an option to add two beers to your tour ticket and they space it out well. The beers are at stop one and three. There are 4 food stops on this tour. I have done food tours in many cities and this one ranks as one of the best. I will definitely be trying more of...

We schedule a food tour in every new city we experience to taste local flavors and learn the history of that city. Bites of Boston delivered on both fronts. Katie was an excellent guide and provided visual aids (laminated maps of the city and more), great historical knowledge, and had a warm personality. She explained the history of the food we were having as well as other not-so-well-known-facts of Boston. We learned more from her in three hours than we did from another tour we took while visiting.

Here is what we ate on our tour: Baked beans and brown bread, clam chowder, a lobster roll, and Boston cream pie. All of the places we experienced these foods had a unique history of their own. Our favorite was the clam chowder. The lobster roll was stuffed with lobster and came with fries. The beans were heavy on molasses, and the Boston cream pie was okay...not what we thought it was going to be. But it sure was pretty!

We highly recommend this tour if you visit Boston. Ask for Katie...

The tour guide was kind but for a happy hour stroll was not “fun”. The drinks were in mini glasses, which should be advertised when booking. I drank 2 of the 4. The food other than the delicious grilled cheese wasn’t great. For the price my expectations were higher, comparing it to sitting at dinner ordering food and drinks. Also the socializing aspect, we walked with our group and didn’t know the others names because the introduction was skipped. You’re unable to order from the menus unless given the ok. We were at one restaurant for close to an hour waiting on a dumpling, it would have been nice to order a cocktail while waiting. Beautiful day out but this tour was definitely a fail for us. In the photo is the mini margarita, 2.5 inch glass, blood orange, not tasty, skipped that one. I feel this tour is for an older crowd, over 65.
