I had a very positive move-in experience last year when I moved to the area. I was in a large unit and had no issues moving my things in and out. Then, I downsized. This is when the problems began.
Someone decided to change my access code from what I had used all along. (I am current on my account.) I went out there several times trying to get in and couldn't. I would receive a new access code by email that did not work. I was given one while onsite that worked while I was there but when I returned it said it no longer worked. No point in speaking with the call center. They can't fix the situation. I am not in a position to go to storage only when there is a rep onsite. This is becoming an extraordinarily long process to empty my unit. So far, five visits when the code did not work. One time I called to make sure the rep was onsite and the person assured me that they would help me if he wasn't there. Nope. Didn't work. I am running out of time to get my things out of the unit and can't afford to make useless trips to see if I can get in. If my moving plans change, I will not reuse them.
Update: Sean, a manager onsite, worked hard to make sure that I could get my final load out of my storage unit. He apologized profusely. They never figured out why my code didn't work. I had to use an emergency code in the end. I updated my review because Sean was so kind and helpful though the code issue was...
Read moreVery accommodating, Sean was. Had a tragedy I was dealing with shortly after securing the storage unit and Sean the manager remembered me and my aunt despite many rentals since. He showed empathy and genuine concern and offered to work with me to continue with my storage needs. His temperament and courtesy was comforting in my time of need. 10/1/24. My initial experience with this company was positive, despite my step brother Brian Domingoes negative review of this company. I'm the type of person who is not easily influenced by others and believe in the good in everyone and everything. Having said that, I'm sad to report that Brian's assessment was spot on. I experienced the same bad business practice. Specifically, my rent went up $40 without notice. Apparently someone (Sean) forgot to send notice. When I complained, I received notice after the fact which only compounded matters. Manager Sean said he disagrees with the way the company does business, and he is considering quitting, but the damage was already done. Prime Storage in Bourne is very unprofessional and deceptive. They only care about passing their costs onto their good customers. ...
Read moreDina was very helpful, compassionate and supportive over the phone coordinating my rental over time, amidst a very stressful transcontinental move. Bridgette helped by being speedily efficient and effective at getting me signed up on-site, showing me to my unit, and setting me up with a dolly when she learned I was interested in placing a few things in storage at time of sign up. I was given mixed messages and so there was some confusion at one point about my rental that occurred, however, thankfully, we were able to work it out. It's also problematic for me to have a pod from 1-800-packrat, as CubeSmart does not allow for the pod to be delivered and later picked up for liability reasons, and 1-800-packrat will rarely do "live deliveries", and if they will, it's at a hefty fee ($500 quoted) so it's a headache I'm still working on to get the majority of my things from California in the pod into my CubeSmart storage unit. For these reasons, I'm rating it 4, and not 5-stars. CubeSmart in Bourne is new and it's proximity to my location on Cape at this time is greatly...
