Pointer Ridge plazaā¦.oh boy. Letās see here. Well after 32 years of living on this street and spending time at this plaza over the years - its constantly changing. Sometimes in bad ways, like when far too many shops were out of business and the place looked ghetto and vacant. But now? Subway is great, always. Dollar Tree is my go-to destination and the employees are awesome. The fact that they know my name goes to show, Iām there frequently. Beijing Subs, theyāve been there my entire life and their food is AWESOME. Theyāre very fast and even when we were hit with several feet of snow, they remained open šš¼. The liquor store (lol) Iām not sure if this is even legal but they maximize their profits in a way that Iām willing to bet, wouldnāt fall under ācomplianceā. You donāt buy a bunch of 30 packs of beer, and instead of selling them as is, in the proper containerā¦.. cut up the box and then sell the beer in increments of 4 or maybe 6 - at a jacked up price. When they shouldāve been purchased as a whole. Great way to end up pulled over and get hit with ādriving with an open containerā. Driving around with an odd number of beer bottles? Yeah, the lid doesnāt have to be open for it to be considered open container. Sounds pretty crazy but if my professor was a judge, Iām gonna assume that what I just said is in fact true.
So watch yourself. Simply put it in the trunk and youāre good. Keep anything you buy there āout of reachā or just prepare yourself for a potential situation that you never expected.
But hey, they donāt care. They make more š° chopping up bulk items that arenāt supposed to be sold separately.
You also have to spend at least 15 bucks or you have to pay in cash.
In other words, no. I donāt go there unless the worlds coming to an end. In fact I drove 20 mins to get to the other side of Bowieā¦where one liquor store was still open, just to avoid this place. And itās 1 mile from my house haha. No thanks.
I like my beer in a box like itās supposed to be, itās kinda helpful considering thereās a handle and all...
