This store is fine to shop in, they have a good selection of clothes and is fairly clean. However, I had the worst experience bringing clothes here.
Iâve witnessed in the past while shopping there that anyone who brings in clothes is treated as an inconvenience. With that in mind, I called first and asked if Iâd be able to bring in clothes that day, and asked what types they were currently taking.
When I brought in my clothes, I mentioned I had a few other bags in the car and the lady I spoke with was very nice, she informed me I could only drop off one bag at a time but when I came back to not close out my account for the money and drop off another bag. A couple hours later I got a text saying they were ready. When I came back, a man (possibly had they pronouns) was helping me and was EXTREMELY rude. He told me that I could only drop off one bag per day and made me check out. I got a whopping $12 for the huge bag of really nice clothes that I brought in. I asked the reasoning they couldnât take the other items and they told me they donât take anything older than two years. He also said that you could find many of those items at Walmart, a lot of the clothes I had brought in were name brand and very expensive. When I got the bag back it was very clear they only rummaged through the first few items on top and not the whole bag.
I spent days going through my closet picking out the nicest things to bring to have them not even looked at. I could not believe the service I received and left crying at the time I had wasted just to bring them all to goodwill donation.
That was months ago. Iâve waited to write this review so that it was honest and not filled with emotion. This is a fine place to shop, but donât bother bringing in your clothes. I refuse to come back and give these...
Read moreShopped here several times. One thing Iâve noticed about all Platoâs closet locations is that they employ high school aged children- thatâs great. But theyâre usually adamant on ignoring your presence and have their heads buried in their phones- rarely does anyone greet you when you walk into a Platoâs closet.
Another mystery to me is where they actually get inventory- I think everyone whoâs gone to Platoâs to sell garbage bags full of barely worn name brand clothing has gone through the notorious selectivity of PlatoâsâŠ.when they tell you âout of the 50 items you dropped off we can offer you $10 for 3 itemsââŠ.its dumbfounding every time. Just came here recently and dropped off a pair of Nike huraches that were worn probably 2-3 timesâŠthey offered $10! đ€ Theyâd sell on eBay for at least $60.
Not to mention they normally have strict requirements on clothes they will even accept to look at. Such as freshly laundered- free of wrinkles- neatly folded- in a basket, etc. Yet every time they return my bag/basketâŠthe clothes are just tossed back inside. Why should I have to go through such effort when they return the clothes in such...
Read moreDonât go here. The two girls that were working when I went in, and were rude and unprofessional. I called and made sure they were still buying clothes, and they said yes. So I brought my stuff in, and I had a huge laundry bin of a whole bunch of clothes. Iâm talking shirts, pants, shorts, leggings, skirts, and even dresses. All the clothes were neatly folded, and put together in the hamper for them to go through. I went with my friend as well and she had a tote bag of clothes to sell. They told us it would be about an hour and we left the store and came back. When we returned, we went to go get the money and the clothes back that they werenât gonna take. They took one shirt from my friend and one pair of pants from me. When I looked at the hamper, the closest had just been moved around on top and not even look through. Have they wouldâve looked, they wouldâve known, I had a lot of brand-name clothing in there for them; in smaller sizes. Then, they ended up giving us our four or five dollars each or whatever it was. Donât shop here. This business as a joke and so are...
