The Paper Store — Local services in Braintree

Today, I visited your store in Braintree, MA in search of thank-you cards and gifts. As I browsed and approached the card section, I noticed an employee staring directly at me with an expression of surprise as our eyes met. It became evident that she had been observing me since I entered the store. In a startled tone, she greeted me with a “hello” while fidgeting with her earpiece, then quickly retreated to the back room.

As she walked away, I remarked aloud that I had noticed her watching me, but I intended to continue my shopping. However, I felt a sense of unease and ultimately decided to leave the store. I prefer to spend my money at establishments where customers are treated with respect and not judged based on their “appearance” and I’m not talking about my clothes...!

It is disheartening to encounter such behavior in today's society, where one might be monitored while shopping by employees who seem to be fulfilling directives from corporate or adhering to ingrained biases. Meanwhile, other customers, such as individuals who don’t share the same appearance in color are allowed to do as they please.

I sincerely hope that the universe reflects the treatment you extend to your customers.

The Paper Store is one of the best shopping store’s that I have experienced. The store is lovely, most of all is the staff being so helpful and especially friendly.
