I asked Terry about bringing in my chainsaw which I purchased from them in because it was not running. He told me two or three days to get it back. After more than two weeks I still had heard nothing. I called and was told they only have one mechanic and they will get to it soon. The following day I finally received a call from Melanie that I could come get it. I asked what the problem was and was told there was no oil in the gas in the tank and it was not worth fixing but they would sell me another one. I told her that there absolutely was oil in the gas. I told her I have the gas can that I use exclusively for the chainsaw with more of the same gas in it and that I would bring it in and show them that there is oil in the gas. She said I could talk to the mechanic the following week but she has never call back to set up a meeting. Later that same day I tried to go and see the saw for myself. I called from outside in the parking lot and and spoke to Bill. He told me that my saw was "on the bench with the muffler off and in pieces and that he would call me when it was done". That was April 29. It is now November, over six months later.Not one of the these people has followed through and done what they said they would do. I continue to hold the gas can to prove there is oil in the gas. I assume at this point they never intend to call me or return my saw. The best I can say is don't bring anything here for service ever.Either you won't get it back or it will be returned in a bag in pieces.Don't buy anything here either. I was not a big customer but I bought things regularly there and made no difference in how I was treated. You'll probably get better...

Montague tool keeps a good supply of good quality tools in the store, brands that represent quality, not big box garbage. This goes for their selection of blowers, mowers, yard tools, hand tools, construction tools, and generators. They have a huge selection of Stihl power equipment and a decent service department that works on good quality machinery and does a good job with it. I have bought several pieces of power equipment there, they service what they sell, the staff is great, and they don't go out of their way to make a quick buck selling you something that is not what you need, they take the time to sell what you need, but not oversell you. I wish we had more good family owned hardware and tool stores left....
