Confederate Veteran's Monument — Local services in Brandenburg

This is the historical monument that was saved from destruction in Louisville. Monuments like these were built as a reconciliation and to honor the veterans of the warring sides at a time when our nation needed healing from the horrific violence of the American civil War. Now that our nation is looking to violently separate again over political issues, these monuments are seen as another dividing point in the culture.
