Cox's Variety and Home Center — Local services in Brandenburg

Cox's usually has everything we could need in a hardware, garden and crafts shop. I also have family that prefer to purchase their tobacco products here. The staff is always kind and helpful and polite. I have many a friend that I have sent to Cox's for items that they were searching for and could not find elsewhere. Afterward, they have thanked me and made the comments that they can't believe that they never knew Cox's was so fantastic and one girlfriend said she'd like to get lost in Cox's for a couple days and another said she now plans her shopping trips in Brandenburg cause she's always looking forward to going to Cox's. I love this little store. I swear I could walk around just looking at things for 3 hrs and not realize how much time has passed. It’s like the owner is secretly a hoarder but is willing to sell his/her things. They have pretty much everything you might need and lot of what you don’t need. Lol considering Meade County only has like 10 1/2 ass Dollar Stores, a few cute little independently owned clothing stores, a random wanna be 1/2 assed larger store that never seems to make it ( Pamida & Big Lots) and apparently we are never going to get a Walmart, and I’m okay with that. I cannot say enough good things about this place! I had a water leak emergency going on and I wasn't going to make it before they closed. I called them and spoke to several people about staying open an extra 5-10 minutes to help me out in my situation. The manager on duty made this possible for me. I arrived and within minutes I was helped and out the door with what I needed! By 9pm my water was fixed due to these amazing people. I work retail and that is the last thing you want to do is stay an extra 5-10 minutes. I know they all have families to go home too also.
