I'm not sure how these folks could get a negative review... My mother-in-law had been coming to Texas to stay with us (daughter and son-in-law) for the winter months for the last several years. A furnace failure resulted in badly frozen pipes that blew out while she was here, causing severe damage to the upper and lower levels - it was raining upstairs and down until a neighbor noticed water coming out from under the garage door days later. This is a 1959 MCM home, very upscale, with over 4000 sf of living space on a dune in the woods a few blocks from Lake Michigan.
The insurance company adjuster recommended that we use one of their approved and vetted restoration companies, as doing so would provide additional benefits and safeguards. This Paul Davis Restoration branch in Bremen was one of them.
We have worked with Paul Davis Restoration for over a year in getting the home repaired and improved. They emptied out the home, gutted the lower level, and then, funded by a combination of the insurance proceeds and our own cash, did an absolutely beautiful, and technically excellent, job of restoring and renovating the entire place. They (with only 1 or 2 subcontractors that I can recall) did everything, starting with drying and mold remediation and demo, to re-rewiring the entire home and installing all new lighting, re-plumbing and replacing plumbing fixtures, hanging drywall and repainting, replacing all of the vinyl flooring and carpets, tiling & re-tiling floors, a shower, and kitchen backsplash… you name it. All of their work was performed with a level of attention to detail that I have not seen in many years. The project was completed about one week ago and the place is absolutely beautiful.
Throughout the process we found the Paul Davis folks to be honest and forthcoming, as well as very responsive. We quickly established a relationship of trust and a level of communication that were absolutely indispensable given that I live 1,000 miles away and could only visit occasionally (and not at all during the COVID stuff). The work was completed as quickly as could be expected given these unusual times. The few times that a delay or issue arose as a result of an error on their part, they volunteered to say that it was their fault. There were several occasions during the process when hidden damage or other issues that should have been covered under the insurance were discovered after insurance agreement. In each case, Paul Davis went to bat for us with the adjuster to procure the additional funds. Also important to note here is that each and every individual Paul Davis staff member that we encountered - easily more than 15 over the course of this project - was friendly, professional, and helpful.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Mike (the owner) and his crew at Paul Davis in Bremen, IN to anyone who may be in need of...
Read moreWhen your house gets smacked with an 80 year old silver maple, you want Stacy, Morgan, Raegan. and all of the great people at Paul Davis on your side. **
You may relate to this, but when that silver maple falls on your house, it’s not something you exactly know how to handle. So what I’m saying here is, I was clueless. I can do a lot of things, but handle this situation while juggling my family and finding a place to live, etc.. it was too much.
So through recommendation, I was told to call Paul Davis. I was greeted by Morgan who acted fast and had Stacy and Cash out to my house the next morning, the tree was barely off of the house and they laid down the game plan and made it make sense to me.
Stacy called to check in periodically and they were so pleasant to work with.
I felt like they gave me special privileges and treatment, but the truth is, they just handle everything this well.
And then when my house was ready to move back into, they had my stuff back the next day.
And here’s the last thing, and with all of the stuff they had to move around, I expected something to get broken here and really by no mistake of theirs, one of my tvs was cracked.
They paid me out to replace that tv immediately no questions asked.
You never want to need Paul Davis for restoration/mediation, but if you do Stacy and her team are by and far the best people to work with of all time, guaranteed.

Read moreDo not use this company after a fire. If the company contacts us and makes our issues right, I will update this post. We keep getting the run around. Highly dissatisfied.
Corporate finally called after my husband made another attempt with them. They listened and said they will reach out to the franchise.
So, we are still waiting.
Edit* it’s been two years since our fire and I wanted to update that nothing ever got resolved. I still would not recommend this restoration company after a fire. They did talk with my husband multiple times and said the owner sold the business and it wasn’t their fault. Lesson learned in the hardest time of our lives.
EDIT** It’s been about a month since I posted this. We still cannot get anyone to call us back despite multiple attempts and them saying we will hear from someone within 24-48 hours every time we call.
EDIT after two months * Still waiting on those promised phone calls. (January 2024)
—We have pictures and videos showing that they did not clean items that they returned. —They charged us for things we did not even have. —They “lost” items. —Their inventory list of clothing items was not good. No pictures, vague descriptions. —Horrible Communication
Very frustrating experience and I would...
