The owners are so kind and sweet, like something out of the twilight zone. They insist on heating your food for you if you're going to heat something up. Usually I'd rather do it myself but these people are so kind and speaking somewhat limited English that its got me kinda like "hey what the heck thank you fir heating that up fir me, kind sir!" Honestly, I walked out of there with a smile on my face, and it's because the owners, man, and his wife were so kind to me. They were closing, so they said they could only heat up 1 thing lol but they were still so kind to help the man walking in as I walked out. I was treated with so much kindness despite it being closing time. Do you have any idea how the safeway staff treat anyone in the store around closing time? They remind you over a loud speaker every few min and start threatening not to let you pay for your items a good 15-30m before closing. Not to mention the uncalled for greeting when you walk in the door initially: a staff member singles you out abd very rudely tells you the store is closing in 20min" no "welcome to safeway " none of that. They literally yell at you and tell you the sooner you leave, the better! So I really appreciate it when employees don't act like that. Another good example is the staff at Sprouts. They are kind even at closing time. They all value their customers enough to treat them with decency at all times of day. The ppl running this place were adorably kind. I didn't even know they were closing until the man told me he only heated up one of my two items and he said something like: "but this will get you home then you can heat up this too. It'll be alright, you'll be ok, right?" LOL, of course I will be ok. How sweet the people working there are. Such...
Read moreThis is a very dirty and overpriced store. I would not recommend getting any sort of coffee, or frozen drink from this location! I took my daughter in here to buy her a hot chocolate. The machines were so filthy that the slushie machine was growing mold. The hot chocolate Spencer did nothing but dispense mildewy smelling and tasting water. An oriental man came out from the back picked a straw up out of the garbage can, tryied to put French vanilla coffee in my daughter is cocoa cup and stir it with the straw that he just took out of the garbage. I told him I am not going to pay for that! I am not going to have my daughter drink that. He stated because we use the cup we needed to pay for it. I reminded him he just put coffee in the hot moldy smelling water and took a straw out of the garbage to stir it with. I was not giving that to my nine-year-old daughter, if he needed to call the police he could. He became irate after that and started screaming at us, telling us we are banned from his store. He screamed at us so, so, loud all the way until we were across the street! You would have thought we were shoplifters! I'm still baffled and in disbelief over this experience, but definitely will never...
Read moreC & C has always been the neighborhood store and Dan and Sue have continued that tradition since they took it over. They go out of their way to help people by extending credit to locals, giving someone a job when they need it, and they will try hard to stock whatever you need if you ask. They are good people and I hope they know that they are a valued part of the...
