I ordered from DoorDash tonight, doordash said order before 11:15, it was 10:45ish. We had just got off of work and didnāt want to cook, this is where doordash comes in handy. Ordering is very specific on doordash listing the ingredients step by step. I have a whole other review to write about my ādoordasherā (so bad) We get our meal, we ordered 3 white Mac cookies, 2 chips, 2 footling turkey and cheese subs. They gave us 2 cookies (both oatmeal) one bag of chips, and when we opened our subs they where missing specific ingredients. I called the subway, they where closing in 20 mins. I asked the young lady what happened. She explained she didnāt have the cookies made we wanted, and the doordasher was in charge of chips. Ball drop. Then I proceed to tell her about our subs, as a young 19 year old would, she huffed and puffed and tells me sheās cleaning and trying to close. At this point itās 11:45. I worked/managed for Port Of Subs from 15-18 and managed a Subway at 22 for a year. Iām 35. (Honestly a horrible company) I explained to her I was getting in the car and heading to her store and she will remake my subs, I donāt care about the cookies at this point. We show up at 11:51pm and all the lights where off, and she was steady putting up all of the veggies and meats. She tries to tell me they are closed. In my experience when an establishment posts they are open until 12:00am, they are open until 12:00am. I tell her to calm down, major attitude at this point, but in her defense WHO schedules a 19 year old girl to close a huge subway by herself and walk to her car alone at midnight. I was ashamed of the management at this point. We brought our sandwiches with us that only one bite was taken out of each one. I canāt blame this young lady for having the attitude she had, she had lot on her plate closing that big of a subway. But there was allot of huffing and puffing. I asked to contact the manager and she started to cry. I asked her to look at me and I asked her to please take a deep breath, calm down and just make new sandwiches so we can all just go home at this point. I explained to her that doordash and the corporation/management of Subway Fu** her over tonight and we plan to make complaints to both establishments. She then changed her tune and just made our subs the best she could with what she had left out. The doordasher forgot my chips, so I did tell her Iām taking my chips, I hope she doesnāt get in trouble but we paid $34 for this fiasco, Iām getting my chips! At the end I told her thank you very much and I hope she finds a different job, because a young lady at 19 years old should not be asked to walk to her car alone in an empty parking lot at midnight from a subway. Not worth it. When we told her to keep our subs we brought back she explained her manager watches her on camera and she will see, but she wasnāt able to contact the manager when we got there.? Also, when we said ok fine, then give us a refund she explained she didnāt know how. (The refund will have to come from doordash, I was very frustrated and knew she couldnāt actually give us a refund.) Again, why is this 19 year old closing a huge Subway by herself. There were four people working (a Saturday around 1245), one (I believe the manager) was sitting in the dining room, one in the back prepping (vegetables I think) and two behind the counter (Girl A and Girl B). Girl B was new, like maybe her first day, and definetely no training. I will skip the comedy of errors and jump to the end. I ordered a six inch BMT--I got a twelve inch BMT on bread so stale the ends were as hard as croutons! There was no provolone cheese on the line, so they needed to grab some from the back. You know the nice shiny slicers on the counters now? Ever see one getting used? The cheese was taken from a vacuum package, and definetly was not sliced in the store. (As an aside, have you seen the lift up lid that now hides the protein section in Subway? I think that is to hide the gact that the meat is not sliced in the store and that is just a marketing scheme.) Anyway, the wher four little onion piece on the line, and no attempt was made to get more. The final fail was when she wrapped my sandwich and rhe end was left hanging out of the paper. Again, clearly Girl B has not been trained.
My wife ordered a salad, which ened up missing pickles and cheese, and qhen it was done Girl A realized there were no lids for the salad bowls. When the guy in the lobby was asked about lids, he first said someone (likely him) forgot to order them, then said someone (again, probably him) ordered the wrong ones. So they found saran wrap to put on the bowl.
No knock on the girls behind the counter--they were doing there best. Girl B deserves proper training. Girl A deserves help from an experienced co-worker (either the lady in the back or the guy in the lobby, who can get back to what they were doing when there's no customers. The guy in the lobby is inept and should not be in the position he's in.
And Subway should explain why the cheese is prepackage, and answer whether the meat is too. I have yet to see a slicer in ANY Subway that lioks like it was used to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI'm not sure if this is subway on Lund Ave. But this is the one I'm rating 1 star!! All others are at least 3 - 4 stars. I got a steak sandwich and the gal who made sandwich was so slow we had to wait 7minutes for her to wait on one person while the gal in the back never came out to help. The gal that waited on me I asked for extra meat and he didn't wasn't even give me the same amount I usually get. She was using a small measuring cup that she made sure was only 3/4 full each time and gave me 3 scoops and charged me Xtra. They charged me 11.50 for one sandwich when they didn't have tomatoes or any other toppings to add to the sandwich!
When asked why you don't go buy some more toppings at Safeway they said oh we have more in the back. Lol They wouldn't offer to get us any when we are there customer. I will never go back to this Subway! I'm not to sure about going to other subways if they are going to be like this subway. Warning Health Dept Issues at this Subway trash was over filling on the floor in the front of the store and in the Mens restroom! The toilet had poop hanging on the sides of the bowl and hasn't been cleaned in at least two months by the amount of black calcium deposits built up in...
