Jeff’s Catering catered my wedding offsite from their event center. While the food was absolutely delicious there were a few bumps in the road getting there and the day of. I asked a questions to make sure we had everything they needed or if they could accommodate dietary restrictions. We created a menu which I approved and was happy with. The only thing I know of that was missing off the menu the day of was a gluten free dish. We were supposed to have a half pan of gluten free mac n cheese and instead there was a half pan with plain gluten free pasta and another half pan of plain pasta. We only had a couple people there who couldn’t have gluten. They did not start dinner on time which caused other things in our busy schedule to be delayed or had to be moved up to fill the gap between cocktail hour and dinner once the special dances were done. When we did get to eat, some of the food was on the cooler side. We had buffet style as this was what was recommended and we ran out of foods. I had guests telling me the next day by the time they got up there they had to scrape the pans just to get something. I paid for more meals than I had people eating mind you…. Overall the food was delicious, but there is definitely room for improvement! Especially when you have an astronomical off-site travel fee that you have to pay. Edit: after talking more with some family that attended my wedding, I learned that several of my guests didn’t eat as they left prior to dinner or were there and chose not to eat. Between paying for extra meals, some people not eating, and some guests not showing up for understandable reasons, there is no reason we should have been running out of food. While there were some leftovers, there were not enough to feed those that didn’t eat, that didn’t show up, or the extra meals I paid for. On top of the gluten free Mac n cheese not being there when it was supposed to be, we were also missing plain baked potatoes that I had requested for those who couldn’t have dairy. All my correspondence was done via email so I have documentation of everything. I have not been contacted by the company at all since my review. That being said I changed my review from...
Read moreTHE HOME RUN ON 'THE HOME RUN.' I am a Cianbro tem member and for reaching 75 years of buisness a lunch was put on in the park adjacent to the training center in Pittsfield.
The catering menu selection enjoyed at this lunch was 'the home run'. Every single person that had a hand in this meal should be proud! I personally consumed the chicken, fruit salad, coleslaw, pulled pork, and corn bread. All of this, and I mean all of it, was THE BEST CATERED FOOD IVE EVER HAD. I am not a bashful individual when it comes to sharing my opinion on food whatsoever. For context I was lucky enough to grow up with a formal education in the culinary arts.
Pulled pork, succulent and well seasoned. Cornbread, savory. Coleslaw, excellent. Most importantly the chicken was fantastic. Again well done to all that had a hand in this. Give yourself a round...
Read moreWe used Jeff’s for our small wedding at our family’s Lakehouse. We had to plan via email since we are from out of state and Jeff was very accommodating and easy going. We weren’t exactly sure how to set things up since we weren’t on site and he was very helpful in figuring out logistics. This was due to be an outdoor wedding and it ended up raining so we had to quickly change plans and have everything inside which completely changed the setup- no problem for Jeff, he figured everything out on the spot and we had an awesome indoor reception. His serving staff was so friendly and accommodating as well, they did such a good job- everyone commented about the great service. Jeff even waited a week for us to come back from our honeymoon to square up the final payment! Excellent to deal with, highly...
