Northeast Collectibles — Local services in Bangor

Hey I'm giving this place a 4/5. Why? Pros: Very nice staff, lots of games and stuff to collect, a lot of variety, air conditioned, has a cute little robot friend vacuuming (I wish my cat could meet him) and tbh the stuff there isn't priced too harshly. They have the new One Piece tcg that I have been looking into getting started on. So they're definitely staying updated with the latest trends. Lots of tables for card game events or just with friends. Owner seems like a nice fella too! Also very good gam selection in the back. I think I saw Sonic 2 on Genesis and tbh it was very reasonably priced! Love that game. They sell 5 stickers for $1. I'm telling you the pricing is good. (Also no they did not ask or pay me to say any of this).

Cons: I'mma be real with you, the location is terrible. First of all, it is very isolated. From where I live, I would need to take 2 buses to get there and then walk 12 minutes to the location (okay 12 minutes isn't too terrible but it's still very out of the way). Otherwise I would need someone to drive me there. I don't know how long this place has been there but the fact that I only JUST visited last week for the first time tells you that this has not been on my radar. And consider that I'm their target demographic. We could have been doing business. There's a comic book store in downtown Bangor and I don't see why they can't just move into one of those units. If it's money then I get it. I hope this business does well and eventually considers relocating to someplace more central.

Either way, I'll be returning, getting the cards, getting the games, and hopefully make some new friends...

Absolutely fantastic gamestore! I came into the area on vacation and was recommended to go here from another gamestore. Was blown away by how friendly the owner was. I came with MTG in mind and I was not disappointed! I consider myself a pretty seasoned magic player looking for high end items and this place delivers. The real reason to write this post however is the community that's been built here! Ive been around the country at dozens of gamestores and this one is a real gem. Extremely welcoming community! Me, some guy off the streets was asked if I brought any decks then immediately pointed to some others playing the same and I got a game in! An hour later they had a standard tourny and 2-3 complete strangers offered for me to play their decks just so I could join them! It takes some insane passion and genuine love for the game to have such an amazing group of people out here. 10/10 gamestore here. I cant praise this place enough. It has one genuine problem...ITS NOT IN MY HOME TOWN! Massive shout out to Bobby a real salesman and comedian. Keep it up guys! If im ever in the area again I will seek you guys out personally! This place was literally the highlight of my week long trip!...

This is the best place in the area for any tcg in terms of stock, pricing, and variety. You can find some good figures or retired Lego sets once in a while which is also a plus. Products as well availability is always great, but the customer service and experience is beyond amazing with a very personable, helpful, and engaged owner. I come in very often and leave very satisfied, usually not emptied handed which could be good or bad depending how you look at it, but it goes to show that they always have something I’m looking for.
