M40 32 handicap. Just started playing golf more than once a year. And Eagle Mountain in Brigham City was a wonderful and challenging course.
Maybe not if you're actually good, but I wouldn't know lol.
Played early in the morning so the first half of the course still had dew and previous putt lines on the greens. The greens felt slower than some courses I've played although I've putted better elsewhere. But still had a lot of breaks where I lipped the cup on my 2nd shot
The course was really thought out, and had some challenging holes where using your driver every hole isn't always the best play. Granted we played from the whites. But club selection and knowing your distances was more important. Some of those greens were pretty small.
#15 is a par 4 350ish (from whites) that is a straight shot to the pin 300ish... It plays as a 45 degree to the left after your first shot. But its just over 3 sets of bunkers of you try to go for it from the white tees, you can see the green. You have to be able to clear 250-60 to clear the last bunker from the white ... That hole I felt like a Greek demigod! My longest ever off the tee with my 3hybrid! (Still can't hit my driver)... Cleared them for 270 (lasered the guys on the tee)... Felt so good and confident I then proceeded to screw up a 30 yard chip TWICE and finally get on in 4 and 2 putt for a double bogey. LoL...
This was a fun course, the front 9 is a lot of hills, if you're walking ... It might take it out of yah.
Some cool up and down hole layouts. And great views where you need to be able to control your shots from the tee.
I'd gladly drive back out if my buddies want...
Read moreI had never stepped foot on a golf course until I started dating my husband who is The assistant pro at Eagle Mountain. We obviously mostly golf at our home course.. however when I’ve gone to other golf courses it’s really made me appreciate the fact that we have such an amazing golf course here in Brigham City. The Super Intendant and grounds crew keep the course in the best shape even in the scorching summers. The Pros are always happy to help you with anything you need and also offer golf lessons. Jaron Cannon is the best golf coach and all of his student can’t wait to come back because he’s so much fun and really helps you improve your game. I’d give 10/5 stars but 5/5 will do. I love Eagle Mountain...
Read moreWe drive pretty far to try the course out , we hit exactly at our tee time but their was two groups a head of us on the same hole so 3 groups total , then by the time we did hit their was two groups behind us . So most the day was hitting then waiting , hitting than waiting , made 9 hole drag on than the group behind us was hitting into us . We paid for 18 holes an figured their would be a brake but since they booked so many close slots we finished right as our second round was starting so no bathroom or lunch brake than same thing people in front an people behind again . Didn’t appciate them over booking a not giving players enough time . Exspesive for pretty much waiting n...
