This is one of the only theaters I like to visit, mostly because I have grown to enjoy controlling the volume with my car and having privacy. Maybe where I grew up more going to the drive-in.
You can talk more with your attendees, eat food you bring in versus the concession stands that charge 300% markup on unhealthy snacks and drinks.
Bringing blankets for laying under the stars enjoying a movie with that special person is always a must. Two movies you’re going to want to stretch and spend sometime outside of the car. At least walk around during the intermission between movies. Your body will thank you!
If someone smokes, they can smoke, as I smoke my CBD products every couple hours for PTSD and anxiety. Being able to smoke my therapeutic CBD without bothering anyone else that may not like smoking, and I like to be respectful to others while also being able to keep my nerves in check.
It’s a great deal, too, as you’re seeing two movies for the price of one. A good cooler and small bag of ice will keep your drinks cold the entire night. The money you save bringing your own food and drinks makes this the best place to watch a movie, in my humble opinion.
It has many advantages when you think about it, however. I also like to support smaller, local businesses that helps support our community. This is a place I remember as a kid, and a place I want to be around for my kid to have memories of.
Some children born in the last 10 years barely know what a drive-in theater is, and even fewer have ever been.
Parents, do your family a favor and take a night out to dinner and movies. Kids grow up so fast and this is a great family friendly activity for everyone of all ages. It’s also a good way for chaperoning older teens, but taking separate cars you can be there if you’re needed, but not be there making your child’s date awkward.
Helps both parties build trust as well. If things are going well, compromise and maybe leave early and let them enjoy the second movie and end of the night before coming home to tell you all about it.
This is just my opinion, though, and some people will disagree. Maybe someone can now play devils advocate and list some cons. Like, for example, the men’s restroom needs to be completely gutted and receive an updated remodel to reflect modern...
Read moreUSUALLY My girls and I love going and watching movies at the drive in. We always have a good time and enjoy ourselves despite the lack of properly working speakers on several of the parkings spots. At time or two we've had to watch movies with one that hardly worked or you could barely hear it. But last night we went to watch the new stitch movie and got stuck towards the back due to it being packed. We ended up being left with speakers that didn't work on one side of us and the other side of us didn't have any speakers at all. We couldn't see the screen due to the vehicles in front of us having their back hatches lifted up the entire time. And the radio station was staticky. The kids couldn't see it or hear it so it was pretty much a waste of our money on last nights trip. (I couldn't tell you a thing about the movie.) I hope for a better experience...
