I had the BEST experience finding my wedding dress at Bliss, thanks to Tabitha! Forewarning this will be a long review because so there are so many great things that set my experience at Bliss apart. Bliss was the first place I looked for dresses, and I wasn't sure what I wanted. You will be asked to complete a style quiz prior to the appointment and will get a call and/or email along with a link to look at their dresses online and give some insight into what you're looking for and your wedding in general. I did create a Pinterest board with dresses I liked which Tabitha used to find my dress. The first dress I tried on was one she picked based on my board and it ended up being the one! What I really enjoyed about my experience was that Tabitha did an amazing job curating the dresses we picked to try on, she would ask what I loved about each dress and what I didnt like and then would pull based on that. My #2 was a dress completely different than any others I'd picked and was her suggestion. I didnt expect to like it and ended up loving it so much. I knew it wasn't the one though, but because I liked it so much I was having a hard time letting it go but then Tabitha suggested that I could find something similar for a rehearsal dinner or bridal shower -which I had forgotten was an option and that point broke up the conflict of wanting both and helped me make my decision.

Again, I was pretty set on my dress choice but had an appointment at another bridal shop in the afternoon and felt absolutely no pressure from Tabitha to commit to the dress I found at Bliss. She just recommended I get something to eat and then make my decision and if I want to try the dress back on after the second appointment and some lunch, to call and if they had a room available to change in, I could try it on again to be sure. I did just that and actually wasn't planning on trying it on again, we were just going to purchase but I was able to try it on one more time and didnt want to take it off! I also purchased my veil that Tabitha had picked out just to make the try on experience fuller, and loved it and how well it worked with the dress.

The experience at Bliss and with Tabitha was better than my second because I felt comfortable, listened too, and that we were both trying to find the perfect dress and not just a sale. Plus the set up for trying on dresses is great! No long walks from the changing room to the mirrors. It felt like my hand was held throughout the entire process, from making sure I was aware of the price if I saw a dress I liked that was over budget, to how long the dress would take to come in, suggestions for seamstresses and when to make an appointment, measurements including asking about heel height so its the perfect length, and taking the time to ask questions about me and my fiance to make me feel more comfortable. First, I would like to thank you for helping me find my dress. I had almost given up hope of finding a dress I loved. I am so grateful and beyond thrilled that I have the dress of my dreams!

The store: Bliss bridal has an excellent selection of dresses with a wide range prices. The organization is very logical and doesn't just feel like miles and miles of the same dress. This made it easy to find dresses I liked. I also appreciate the feel of the store. It's well-lit and inviting. This made for very nice pictures to share with my friends and family

The dresses: As previously stated, there are a large variety of dresses, in style and price. Everything ranging from "off the rack" to couture. There was also a nice variety of plus sized dresses. Sample sizes seemed to be mostly 12, although I'm only positive about the 7-10 dresses I tried on. I ended up choosing a dress from the Willowby collection by Watters. It’s the perfect fit for a whimsical, outdoor wedding!

Bridal Consultant: My consultant was Jessica. She was wonderful and I’m so grateful for her amazing personality, professionalism, and expertise. The dress I ended up picking was chosen by her, after I had chosen several dresses that were great, but missed the mark. I felt valued and listened to. I would also like to add that I unfortunately had to shop alone. I recently moved to Milwaukee and know very few people. Jessica didn’t make me feel like I was alone. She was gracious, honest, and was true joy to work with. I had previously visited many shops where I felt the consultant was removed from the process or dishonest in what was right for me (trying to make a sale). I felt like Jessica gave me honest opinions, listened to my needs, and wasn’t just trying to sell me a dress at the top of my budget. Again, Thank you Jessica. I’m so happy!

Overview: Bliss Bridal is an excellent establishment to find the right dress for you. Whether you’re a plus-size bride trying to look like a princess, or a frugal bride shopping off the rack, you will find what you need here! I cannot praise Bliss Bridal enough. I am posting this on my fiancée's behalf:

My dress try on went perfectly and I really loved the dress I decided on. We ordered it and waited several months before it arrived. I drove 3.5 hours to pick my dress up as I live out of town. But when I tried the dress on, the stylist could hardly get the dress zipped, the straps were pinching my arms, and the waist was much higher than my natural waist.

Everything about the dress seemed off. NOTHING like the sample I tried on. I expressed my concern to my stylist and she says the dress can be let out. It was insinuated that “my measurements must have changed” or that I have gained weight. This was difficult to hear as I have been trying hard to lose a few lbs and instead am being told I must have gained weight.

Next I am told that this dress must be wrong because I must have ordered the wrong size. I did not request a specific size, bliss bridal ordered the size based on my measurements! I ask to try on the sample dress again as this was supposed to be the size that was ordered. After a long time and much confusion I was allowed to try on my sample dress and it fit perfectly. Only after that did the stylist start to believe I hadn't gained weight.

The stylist asked that we come back in an hour so that it could be sorted out. She told us that they would likely try to order me a new dress. This was obviously a huge concern as the dress took a long time to arrive. Their only other offer was for me to take the sample dress home. They offered me a 10% discount because it was the sample but when I went to pick it up we realized there were rips in the bottom of the dress. No further discounts were offered. No alternative options.

At no point did they apologize for the mistake, and I was made to feel guilty for something that was very much not my fault. I spent a large sum of money to be given a less than perfect dress. I am very disappointed in this experience and will not be recommending this store to others. This experience has left me feeling terrible about my...
