I recently upgraded from an iPhone 6s to an iPhone Xr and we were looking to transfer my husband's old cell number to a different device (since he is now using a work-provided phone). My husband wanted to keep his phone number but we didn't need it to be on a phone line (especially a smart phone line), since he is no longer using the phone. We worked with Tony and he helped us brainstorm a way to keep the number while helping to reduce our overall phone bill. So, Tony suggested we do try the Hum system. I am constantly on the road for my job (I am a social worker who is a community-based provider, so I'm putting in a lot of driving miles every day), so we decided to add HumX to our plan, to provide me with extra peace of mind while I'm constantly traveling for work. Unfortunately, technology hates me (it always has) and, as per my luck, my Hum OBD2 reader started giving me trouble. Tony has been incredibly helpful and patient throughout the entire process of figuring out what was going on and has been quick to help remedy the issue ASAP. He is fantastic to work with and has really been great about making sure that we are well taken care of! You can trust these guys to take care of you and find the plan(s) that will...
Read moreI have had numerous issues with my phone- particularly dropped calls, texts failed to send, incoming texted received late, calls not coming through, messages received hours after phone call. Each time I took my phone in, the problem was fixed- except it wasn't. Then my phone died. It would shut down on its own, and it couldn't be turned back on. Then suddenly, it would come back on. After several days of this, it died completely. When I took it in, I was told all Verizon could do is file a claim. If I had an old phone (I don't) they would have put my SIM card into it. But they had no loaner or free phone for me. So until the claim is resolved, I am without a phone- unless I purchase a new one, of course. That isn't going to happen. The phone died going into the July 4th weekend, so I will effectively be without a phone for a week- maybe more. The Warranty Claims Dept. was supposed to respond within 24 hours. The time limit has elapsed and unsurprisingly, I have received no contact from them. My family and I will be looking at other providers and leaving...
Read moreDo not shop at this store! It's a shady operation at best. I went in on Black Friday to get new phones for my wife and me. Worked with a sales person who gave us a great deal, which I got in writing and then ordered the phones.
When I showed up to pick up the phones, I was told that the sales person was new and offered me a deal that I wasn't eligible for. I was then informed that I could still get the $1,400 discount we agreed to, but that the sales person would have to personally pay for the cost of the discount. I wasn't willing to screw over a young kid by making him pay $1,400 for his mistake (although his employer seemed more than happy to do so). Maybe they should actually train their staff before sending them out on the sales floor. The best part was that this store's abysmal management led to us missing out on the Black Friday deals offered at any number of actually trustworthy retailers.
Just go to an actual Verizon store - they're far more honest and easy to work with. I literally spent nearly 4 hours in the store just to walk away...
