Island Getaways — Local services in Brookfield

My husband and I recently travelled to Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica. We booked our vacation with Nancy Finn from Island Getaways and she was terrific. I initially found Nancy over a year ago after lots of rave reviews about her services. I had been hoping to travel to Sandals in St Lucia this past summer and she helped me to get booked and gave me so much great information about Sandals. Unfortunately I had to cancel that trip due to unforeseen work circumstances and she was very understanding and helped me take care of the cancellation very easily.

When the opportunity came up for us to travel this fall, I knew I had to get back in touch with Nancy because she had been so helpful with our original reservation.This time we chose Jamaica - out of the many options in Jamaica, we wanted to make sure we found the resort with the right vibe for us. I had tons of questions about the different Sandals resorts in Jamaica, and room types once we chose one, and she provided lots of helpful info and helped us plan a wonderful vacation that was exactly what we were looking for. She sent us info and a video link about the butler service so we would know what to expect there. I don't usually use a travel agent but found it so helpful as she had the knowledge and experience to take care of all of the details very professionally. Nancy was very responsive by email and phone, and there were lots of emails and phone calls back and forth to make sure all of our questions were answered and everything was taken care of. She and her assistant Jeni really took all of the stress out of the planning process so we could focus on looking forward to our vacation.

I had also heard of Club Mobay and when I inquired about that Nancy was able to book it for us with a discounted rate. The day before we left for our trip it turned out that the tour operator had given Club Mobay the wrong airport for our arrival and departure (through no fault of Island Getaways - they had provided the correct info well in advance) and Jeni went back and forth with them multiple times through phone and email to make sure it was corrected so we could get the documentation we needed to travel the next day. I was so grateful for the help with this, as the day before we left I was swamped tying things up at work and having a travel agent to help with confirmations and making sure all was ready for our trip was invaluable.

Nancy contacted Sandals personally before our arrival to make sure we got a great room in the category we booked, upgrades if available, and to let them know my birthday was the day we were due to arrive. Once we were checked in it was clear we got the best room in the category we booked (no upgrades were available but that was fine as we were very happy with the level we had booked). If we could have chosen it ourselves, it is exactly the room location we would have wanted. They had the room decorated specially to wish me a happy birthday, complete with a bottle of champagne.

We started to plan this trip a year ago. Not knowing where we wanted to go, we asked our expert travel agent Nancy Finn from Island Getaways. Nancy is the local travel guru, that knows her resorts well, and gets to know her clients, designs the perfect trip for them. Being a Karisma resort superstar Nancy knew that we would be well taken care of at the El Dorado Casitas. Everyone knows Nancy at the El Dorado, her status does not go unrecognized!!

We have never been to Mexico, and knowing many people that have, we were not sure that is where we wanted to go. Our desires were water, beach, beautiful resort, elegant food not just ok food, gourmet! Top shelf liquor , pool, pool bar, but NOT to busy...cabanas, and service!!! Being a hospitality professional myself, I wanted to experience 5 star service just as my company gives to customers. We had that and then some!

Because we booked our trip with Nancy , we were given so many extra upgrades! The private beach dinner was amazing and we are so thankful for that! The free massages, the decorations in the suite after the birthday dinner,, thanks to Nancy!

We have found our Happy Place In Mexico, met amazing people, and cant wait to return. You will not be disappointed. Nancy Finn, your are an amazing travel agent, and we cant wait to book our next trip with you at myislandgetaways for our next trip...

I cannot say enough great things about Nancy and Tom Finn at Island Getaways. They are the best in the business. Five Star. Highly Recommended. It was the most beautiful resort with stunning teal blue waters and mountain views. They made the planning process smooth and easy. Since they have been to all of these places, they were able to give us a list of “must do's” and “must see's”, which is super helpful when traveling to a new location and new resort. Everything they recommended was as good, if not better than expected. They made sure every last detail was planned and taken care of for us and did everything in their power to make this the best trip ever for…before, during, and after.
