CheckSmart — Local services in Brookside

My husband came in with a good check from our state taxes written to us in March. It expired next month so we wanted to cash it before it did.

The lady working as I type this didn't try to confirm whether the check was good or not. She just assumed because it said it was issued in March that something was wrong with it. Despite her first call to her boss she insisted on calling the "director" of the store who allegedly instructed her not to cash it.

She didn't run it through any machines, didn't attempt to call any bank. Just refused to help my husband.

Would leave a 0 star if I could went in for a western union pick up. Something that never take more than 5-10 minutes. Somehow took what felt like an hour. Had to make an account had to have references. All I was doing was a simple pick up. The lady keeps looking away. They very clearly haven’t been trained on how to do there jobs.
