My husband, told me about this place and how it was so good, he always goes to the one by carencro. But being that I was close to the one in Broussard, I tried that one. I got a link of boudin and some chicken crackling. The first thing that I didn’t like was there was 2 young girls in the front, the shorter one was cutting the boudin, but I guess she got frustrated cause it didn’t want to cut, she start cutting it all types of ways and busted the boudin, so I got just the inside of the boudin, and it was really messy, she knew it was a problem because she looked at me, but still gave it to me. And It was cold. Than I started eating the chicken crackling, it was very good, I started eating them, and there was human , almost like a dark brown brunette color of hair, wrapped up in 2 of my cracklings, disgusting. I lost my appetite, and threw the rest away, and I was enjoying those cracklings, I just wasted my money. They need to wear hair nets instead of those caps, and make sure there’s no hair on...

3.5 stars. Heard about this spot from business partner who shared that this was where you go to get the real Cajun goods. Upon entering, we were greeted with warm, friendly welcomes and pleasant smells. Rabbit, gator, Boudin balls, stuffed pork chops, steaks and many other offerings were available for purchase. Before I realized what had happened, I had filled my basket with $70 of Cajun groceries. You can get ice and Styrofoam coolers here which my co-worker did. Very friendly and fast service along with reasonable prices.

At home, my wife and sons were not fans of the Boudin balls (too salty) but did like the marinated rabbit. Definitely worth a visit if you're passing through...

Saturday 09/06/2025 I went to best stop and asked for 5 fresh links of boudin. I've gone many of times hoping this would be a good day. I should never have to check to see the color before I drive off. Boudin is a recipe that should never be a hit or miss. I called and told a lady about my concern. I explained it wasn't fresh but my fault I should have checked it. She said all of the boudin came our dark that day due to more stuffing in the like. I spent $17 on 5 links that my co-workers didn't eat because of presentation didn't look good. If I continue to I will check it before leaving but I shouldn't have to do that. Very...
