So honestly the experience here was pretty good. The waitress was new and she didn't exactly check on us the way she should or the way a veteran waitress would. Overall the meal was pleasant.
We started with the fig flatbread since others on Google stated it was absolutely wonderful. I have to confirm they were correct it is a gorgeous starter. I'm not a feta cheese fan and I had them only put it on half of the flatbread. However, the feta cheese actually help to balance it very well. I wish I hadn't edited the dish.
The lasagna was also stated to have been great however I would have to disagree. My disagreement however is based on a personal preference. I like sauce in my lasagna. However, this one had the meat layers that were not Incorporated with the sauce. So there was cheese layer, meat layer, pasta, cheese layer, meat layer but no actual sauce inside the lasagna. The sauce was on top with a crispy crust that was baked on. The top was very delicious at least with the sauce. But I couldn't really give it a full two thumbs up being that there was no sauce actually in the layers.
Also ordered spicy Alfredo my partner enjoyed it but I felt it had a metal taste. Not sure.
We wanted to have dessert however there was no space available in our tummies. Enjoyed a glass of sexual chocolate wine which was very entertaining to have looked at the label itself. Just so everyone knows it is a real phone number and a real person will answer. Other than that it was a fairly pleasant evening which is why I rated five stars. But for me it was more of a four...
Read moreNice atmosphere with friendly service. The menu is diverse with a lot of options depending on what you are hungry for. The beer is ice cold which is a great plus! For an appetizer, we ordered the hummus. The hummus has diced tomatoes and cucumbers in it and was pretty good. The star of the dish was the Misticks bread that it is served with. I could make that bread my meal! For my entree I ordered the seasonal item, Shrimp Lasagna, and my wife got the Misfits Pasta. The Shrimp Lasagna was good, but there was little pasta and mostly GOBS of cheese! My wife liked her pasta, but it was a little heavy on the salt which made it difficult to eat after a while. The good thing is that both dishes were served with the Misticks bread! We will definitely be back because there are so many other things that look delicious on the menu. We may share a pizza next time because the server told us the pizza crust it made exactly like the...
Read moreIt's so great to find an Italian place that offers more than just the usual Italian dishes. Of course they have all the regular stuff, but they also have some stuff on the menu that is a little unusual. For example, the crawfish dip wonton chip appetizer is not something you would find at a traditional Italian restaurant, but who cares? It's delicious. I highly recommend it. The meatball sub is also fantastic. So far, I have yet to have anything that I would consider okay. All of the food has been outstanding.
But the thing that keeps us coming back is the service. We've always had incredible experiences which leaves us wanting to come back again. Every server that we've spoken to has been friendly and informative.
I cannot recommend this place enough. Even if you live on the southern side of Lafayette, make the trip....
