A couple months prior to my moving out of the property, the community received an email noting the integration between Suddenlink and 8085 at Traditions. It stated that if the tenant already had Suddenlink then nothing needed to be done and that their Suddenlink contract would automatically end on August 31 and billing through 8085 would begin on September 1. After moving out of the unit, I called the to see what the procedure was to turn in my cable box/modem and they instructed me to come by the complex office with it. I immediately brought all of the equipment into the front office and handed them off in a box with my unit number to the girl working the front desk.
After turning the equipment in to the office, I continued to receive bills from Suddenlink. I called the complex office each and every time a bill was received and was always told that the issue was being handled. Suddenlink was contacted.
Now, two months after moving out of the complex, I was debited a total of $221.71 from Suddenlink for an equipment charge and a November billing period 11/6-12/27. PLEASE NOTE THAT MY LEASE ENDED IN OCTOBER.
As I have called the office multiple times and the manager is conveniently unavailable. After confirming that they had received my cable equipment in their office, I was instructed by her worker last Monday 12/14 to send an email of my issue for their records. I sent the email immediately and requested that the manager send a record of all the steps that she has made to resolve this issue on their end. As of 12/21 I have received no follow up from the manager.
Obviously, I do not recommend this complex based on the managements response to a problem that has been ongoing for months.
Additional complaints added 1/21/21
Kayla, I do appreciate that you were willing to finally speak to me on the phone and let me know that you were working on the issue. In case you haven't noticed, I CC'd you on an email on January 12, 2021 with all of the Suddenlink representatives I had been working with from Suddenlink and have received no reply. This was now 9 days ago. Then, just yesterday on 1/20/21, I sent a follow up email once again noting that the issue hadn't been resolved. No reply to that either.
Today, I received a "reminder" text and email indicating that I owe $100.10 on my rental balance. Let me restate that I have not resided in this apartment since October of 2020 and this is the FIRST notice I have received of any balance. I have called the office twice today and there was no answer. So not only do I have documentation of your office stating that I turned in the equipment that I have yet to be refunded for, you are now three months post move out, letting me know that there is a $100.10 balance left...
Read moreThis is probably one of the worst places I've ever lived. I should have known when I was going through the process of signing my lease. I moved here for a job and need housing within 3 weeks and up until like 2 days before, the office had still not signed the paperwork for my lease. Everything was done on my end but they had not signed the lease electronically even though I had been approved and paid for everything. I have yet to have hot water in my bathroom since I moved in. I was told that they placed a temporary switch on the fan in my living room and they have yet to install a permanent one (for 2 months). There is "valet trash" at the complex but 3 times out of the 3 months I've been here it has not been picked up even though I have followed the rules. The insulation is terrible. You can hear people going up and down the stairs and just talking in the breezeway. The neighbors around me have dogs that bark incessantly. Also, I have been here for 3 months now and I am yet to be in the directory at the front gate. I had someone watching my pet for me and they had my gate remote. When I came back at 3 in the morning after my flight got in, I was not able to get in through the gate after being told I would be set up in the system. I still am not. I called and left the office a message and my call was never returned. This has been over a month. Additionally, the trash situation is terrible. People leave boxes and trash everywhere. The management has tried to accommodate this issue but basically put blame on the tenants for their disorganized mess. The complex is not done being built and there are contractors constantly adding to the trash situation, along with taking up parking spaces, and causing noise at all hours of the morning and night. The apartments themselves are beautiful but the management is very lacking. They are unorganized and unprofessional.
I also agree with the ridiculous utility fees. This place is outrageous and not worth the money. I was told when I moved in the boiler and water fee would be less than $20 and I am paying over $50 a month for that and then $25 for valet trash that doesn’t actually pick up your trash. Not to mention that I do not get hot water and have to pay for the boiler.
I was waiting for over an hour in the lobby to pay my rent and no one was there. When someone finally came they said they were new and didn’t know what to do with my check. That the other person who should be there had just got pulled over and they didn’t know when they would be back.
Do NOT live at this community. The nice units are not worth the hassle and...
Read moreI am utterly appalled by the treatment I received during my apartment tour with my girlfriend. I had scheduled a visit to view the apartment and was met with nothing but rudeness and discrimination from the lady at the leasing office. If I could rate this experience with zero stars, I would do so in a heartbeat.
From the moment I arrived, it was evident that the leasing office had no intention of providing a proper tour. Despite my request to see the model room, the lady flat out refused, insisting that it wouldn't be helpful to visit it. This lack of transparency is concerning, as I wanted to get a sense of the overall layout and quality of the apartment.
Furthermore, she blatantly refused to tour the common areas with me, leaving me feeling excluded and unimportant. It was as if my presence was an inconvenience to her. Her dismissive attitude and complete disregard for my legitimate requests were deeply disappointing and unprofessional.
To add insult to injury, she only showed me a video of the available room instead of allowing me to physically see it. What was the point of driving three hours from Dallas if all I was going to be shown was a video? It was a complete waste of time and effort.
I couldn't help but notice that other visitors seemed to be treated differently, receiving a warm and welcoming experience. I can't help but wonder if my experience was influenced by racial discrimination. If that is the case, it is absolutely unacceptable and should not be tolerated in any capacity.
I strongly advise potential renters to think twice before considering this apartment complex. The discriminatory treatment, rude behavior, and lack of professionalism exhibited by the leasing office are inexcusable. It is evident that their sole focus is on extracting money through applications, without any genuine concern for the well-being and satisfaction of their prospective tenants.
In conclusion, my experience with this apartment tour was utterly disappointing. The leasing office's refusal to show the model room, refusal to tour the common areas, and overall rude behavior left a sour taste in my mouth. It is disheartening to encounter such discrimination in this day and age. I would strongly encourage others to seek out a more inclusive and respectful living...
