North Campground General Store — Local services in Bryce Canyon City

Hmmm well.... We won't often give a bad review, and if we do we try to put a nice twist on it, but: The change machine was out of quarters for the laundry, half of the female showers were inoperable and pretty unclean and at 530 one of the staff entered the laundry and pulled the plugs on the 4 washing machines (ours included). When we asked the question if our wash was complete we were just told "we close at 530". Pretty inconsiderate given that most machines only had a few minutes left on the digital timer. The sign on the door says "last wash at 530" so interpret it...

My boyfriend and I raced over as fast as we could to get firewood before the store closed at 5. We pulled in the parking lot at 4:59 and the employee was taking the open sign down. I ran up to him and very nicely said I just needed firewood and he, very meanly said "we close at 5" and I said "please! The firewood is right there and I'll pay in cash" and he said "No! We close at 5!". Obviously he could have just sold me the firewood and not been so mean when it was just 5 exactly and I was rushing to get there. Never go there, he...

I normally give pretty wide latitude to little general stores like these, especially considering it's off season. That being said I was expecting a little more. Fresh fruit is a luxury in a remote place but the grapes in the fridge were growing mold and the donut I purchased was Very stale. Of course prices are a bit exorbitant but I was willing to pay them inside a national park. If the products have been there I wouldn't have felt any loss but is disappointing when you buy...
