10/10 would not recommend. Unless wasting your money is a hobby. 8 classes for 110$/month. They don’t roll over. They’re all at odd times so like 3 or 4 days a week none of them will fit in your schedule. But besides being totally inconvenient to the average gym goer… it’s a gimmick to get the most money out of its members. You take a 9th class , you pay 12$ extra , you want a heart monitor, you pay 10$ extra. The one thing that’s sets this chain apart from all other gyms is the fact that you wear an orange theory branded heart monitor to track your calories burned/heart rate and progress over your classes. Hard to believe that useless little gadget not only isn’t INCLUDED in your already expensive membership, but the reader itself is less accurate than an Apple Watch or Fitbit , and some employees actually encourage you to go buy a heart monitor from Walmart because they also agree their product is trash. The loaners cost 10$/ class to barrow, if you want to buy your own for the classes it’s more than your monthly membership. I was told 120$ .. The instructor will tell you the stats don’t matter , but it’s the one thing that you sign up to see, it’s the only thing that sets them apart from any other class based training. I was excited to see my progress until I was told how inaccurate the devices are. Today I took a class with the big screens shut off so you couldn’t see where you were in comparison to everyone else. It not only took away from my competitive spirit, but it made it difficult to see if I was working hard enough on the weight floor where you’re not in front of a piece of equipment that details your stats. My fiancé is too lean I guess for the heart monitor to be accurate, so why would I buy their branded one if I tried it and they suck? Day one when I signed up the instructor told me the stats don’t matter, and the front desk guy was so clueless he couldn’t tell me how much my own heart monitor would cost… then 8 classes in Im told to barrow one it’s 10$ a class. Just a cash grab if you ask me. Save your money and sign up for crunch where you can take as many classes as you want and there’s no BS hidden fees to...
Read moreI once really loved this location and the coaches are excellent. However, as a 3 year customer I am highly disappointed and shocked by the lack of regard for a long time customers situation. I tried to cancel my $179 membership since I am in between jobs, they offered that I freeze my account. I asked to freeze my account and they still charged me $179 after I “froze” my account. I was charged $179 for services I did not use. Instead of fixing the situation, they offered to take $10 off of my membership in the future, rather than being honest and behaving in an ethical manner they chose to ignore my concern in a difficult situation. Be very aware about this sketchy practice. Sadly I will not be going back to the Orange Theory franchise after this experience. This is an excellent place to work out and meeting your goals but be aware of these sketchy practices. I am disappointed...
Read moreI have never been someone who likes working out, but I at least knew I had to have some accountability to keep going, as well as guidance. Orangetheory is exactly that. I appreciate being able to comfortably start as a beginner. All skill levels are encouraged and welcomed. Everyone is there to get a workout in - not to show off - so it really is a competition with yourself. I love the encouragement and support of the coach. They kindly show me how to correct my form or answer any questions at any point in the class if I am lost. The music is AWESOME. It pumps you up the entire time. The workouts are intuitive and always shifting so you never get bored. Every single thing you do in class can be done by any and all skill levels. Before I know it, the 1 hour is up, and I am tired (because I proudly pushed myself) but feeling amazing and...
