Update: still our favorite ice cream! Everytime were up this way we have to stop by. Just one sad thing... this last time we went (July '22) they're charging $1 per sample... even if you make a purchase... I understand charging if you just go for the samples since some people abuse the privilege but they should either charge less per sample or remove the charge if you do purchase ice cream cones... very sad that we weren't able to try many of their flavor even though we purchased 3 ice cream cones an 6 half gallons. Still our favorite ice cream, but come on!!
Original review: Oh my God, this place is incredible! My wife brought me here after a few years of talking it up to me. Every time we visit her family she mentions it, but since it's kind of far from her hometown and closes early so we hadn't had a chance to go. Well... now it's squarely on our a "must visit" list every time we're up north! The ice cream is deliciously creamy and indulgent, and the organic chocolate milk is just as delicious! The lady in the front is also super nice, welcoming and always smiles. She explained about their ice cream and milk and let us try many ice cream flavors! We'll be checking out more...
Read moreI recently went here 3 days in a row while visiting family in Buhl. The ice cream is great. I loved the Banana Cream Pie and Maple Nut! Their waffle cones are probably the best I have had. The one thing I don’t understand about this place is that they hold your waffle cone with their bare, dirty hands and then hand it to you to eat. The employees literally touch money- dirty cash and coins and then go right to grab a waffle cone and fill it with ice cream and then give it to you to eat! It’s so unsanitary and unappetizing for employees to touch money and scratch their head/hair and then handle my cone with the same bare hands. Why not grab a napkin to hold the cone or put on gloves when touching the cones? This is the reason why most cake cones have a paper wrapping at the bottom of the cone! So the person adding the ice cream isn’t holding it with their bare hands seconds before it goes in your mouth!
Ice cream - 5 stars Food handling- 1 star Waffle cones- 5 stars Holding the waffle cone with bare hands - 1 star
I would suggest cups of ice cream until they change the way they handle the...
Read moreI would give this place 10 stars if I could! Where do I begin? The story behind this place is not only Ice Cream. It is Milk, Cream and so many other milky things made from their own cows production. Remember the old days with milk in bottles with the cream on top? Unadulterated, non-homogenized, yummy milk. This is what they use to make their ice cream. Baskin Robbins, come learn the art of making ice cream! They might not have 57 flavors but what the have is absolutely delicious! If I was trapped in that building for a long time I would weigh 450lbs! One last thing that I find very interesting. Both my wife and I have a sensitivity to dairy products. Neither of us have any bad reaaction to this Ice Cream, and I react to a small amount of lactose free milk or half and half in my coffee. Must be something about those Holsteins! Almost forgot, the service, smiles, happy people in both sides of the counter makes me realize how blessed we are to...
