There are a good variety of antiques among the booths at somewhat reasonable prices. As soon as you walk in the door the reception on your phones will be shut off, which means you will not be able to research any items. The reason for the 2 star rating; Be prepared to be followed around by the employees especially if you are a person of color. If you can tell, the negative ratings posted are from people of color. So beware. The woman running the floor automatically appeared to grab items off mine and my kids hands to put them at the counter. I had an item I was even unsure of thinking to buy and as I stood there for a second to think about it, the woman took it off my hands and said she will set it at the counter and I can think of about if I want to purchase it or not in the meantime. My gosh, she even wanted to take my kids BEANIE BABIES to the counter! I told her no, they want to hold them. I ended up spending about $50 even though I shouldn't have because I felt like I was being treated like a thief. So in my opinion, if you are caucasian, go ahead and go as you will be treated fairly. BUT if you are Hispanic or a person of color, I would suggest to...
Read more2 out of 3 experiences were good. The last one was bad enough I will never go back. Today, I went in for a closer look at a small figurine and the part I grabbed was apparently the unsecured lid of an old Avon perfume bottle. The bottle part fell to the ground and smashed. I picked up all the pieces I could and went up front to pay for the item. I apologized profusely and handed over my card. Two people were understanding about the accident and cleaned it up. The blond woman behind the register was angry about the smell and kept saying it bothered her. I apologized again. I have allergies, too. But...she kept on. And on. And on. And on AND ON. I went to the bathroom and scrubbed my hands for 2 minutes straight while she ran my card and when I got back, she was still complaining loudly. She was unbelievably rude to me when giving my card back. LADY, IT WAS AN ACCIDENT. LET IT GO. I didn't do it on purpose. I don't have it out for you, personally. If it's that bad, go home. It is an antique mall. Almost Everything in it smells of something. Most people nowadays would have left the broken piece and snuck out. Thanks for punishing an honest...
Read moreI am truly suprised by some of the negative reviews this place has because I had a great experience at the Burleson Antique Mall today! I found a funky and cool painting that a sweet staff member suggested might look neat on a pantry door. My mom and I immediately agreed that my new painting would actually go really well on my pantry door! I am so excited to return home to Lubbock and take her advice. Also found a (hardback) book by my favorite author for $3 and a retro purse for $15. Spent a total of about $45 on 3 items and it was so worth it. Will be returning for my father at some point, as he collects steins (German beer mugs) and they had a huge collection throughout the booths. The staff is very VERY friendly to everyone and so incredibly helpful. Thank you for a wonderful experience and unique end to my vacation! I can't wait to tell everyone about the cool things I found in...
