Shoe shopping has always been a nightmare experience. I wear a size women's 11.5-12, not many stores carry 11, & very rare bigger. Nordstrom have a small selection. Was shopping up north with my mother, she mentioned this gem of a store to me, it's been there for years. They only carry quality top brands of shoes & clothing. It's like a condensed REI - but better as they carry larger sizes in stock!! My mom found a pair of Keens on sale, & I found the shoe I tried to get years ago but thought 11 was the largest, the Naot Rome sandal. Fabulous pair of shoes! I needed a 12, the clerk disappeared & came back with a 12. I could have cried. Only shoes you can ever find in 12 are UGLY! These are perfect! Staff are all so friendly, patient & knowledgeable. Will be back for my winter boots & shoes. My new go-to-shoe store. I don't like buying online as I have not only big feet but bunions & flat feet & they usually don't fit right. Exactly the type of store and customer service I was looking for! All the employees were friendly, helpful and made sure all their customers were well taken care of. I had major foot surgery in May and I was looking for something to fit my swollen foot that wouldn't be too large for my other foot. It was the first time in over 2 months of being able to walk again. Julie (I think that was her name-sorry if I'm wrong) spent 90 minutes very patiently getting me shoes to try on and making suggestions, and I hope I wasn't too much trouble. I was so happy to find not one but two pairs of new shoes and I felt like a kid in a candy store. I will definitely go back repeatedly every time I need shoes now that I found this wonderful family run store. Really nice selection of quality shoes. The prices are high IF you're used to going to Payless, BUT these shoes will outlast the cheapos. Big selection of sale and clearance shoes too.

Heads up to first timers: this is old school service. You will have an assistant helping you find things, fetching you sizes, etc.

Know at least some of what you want when you come in. I.e. 'Dansko', 'Work shoes', 'hiking shoes', 'steel toes', and they will show you what they have. If you know what to expect, you'll have a great time and come back again.

There are other assistants that are there that stand around, the first time I went in it felt a little intimidating (am I not allowed to look on this rack? Do they think I'm stealing?), but nah. They are just waiting for someone to assist. Ignore them, and focus on...
