My S.O. and I came here with no expectations. We were just excited to see a new restaurant in town. The restaurant is small, maybe 30 seats for butts. We were seated in a very cozy quiet corner. The seats were comfortable but they did not match up well with the table we were sitting at making eating a bit awkward. We ordered the brussel sprouts and the caprese salad for appetizers. The brussel sprouts were the highlight of the meal. The caprese salad is made with cherry tomatoes and a pesto. The toasted bread was done to a just right texture. I ordered the Jalapeno Popper Chicken Sandwich it was good but in my opinion it could be better if the chicken breast was pounded thinner rather than a one inch thick breaded chicken breast. My S.O. ordered the Smash Burger and she ate the whole thing which is not the norm. I didn't get my half from her like I normally would have. The fries are better than Train Wreck's fries and served with a Bearnaise Sauce. Service was great and I wish I would have made a note of our waitress's name to give her a shout out. The atmosphere is low light and quiet. The music kind of ruined things. Rather than playing Postmodern Jukebox remixes play the actual music from the era your trying...
Read moreWe went here because we love the train wreck so our expectations were high. When you first get to The location, it’s a non marked door with a fake barbershop door as the secondary entrance next to the bathrooms. Inside, it was packed! It’s a small place but quite popular. I went with the smash burger which was quite good and then we choose some apps for the rest of us. The charcuterie board was good but needed a few more crackers. The steak poutine was quite good and the steak was very tender. The salad was a large portion (not a complaint)! The other item we got was the salmon deviled eggs. It comes with 4 so that means I got to have 2! HA! Over all, the atmosphere was quite well done, service was great, and although we came across some great menu items there are more items on the...
Read moreSo let me just say WOW! I saw this location listed on one of thier sister locations websites. I saw Speakeasy and I was in like Flynn, first the non descript door to get in, then a secret door i would have walked a mile to open. Ryan the barkeep met me at the door and sat me at the bar, I started with a Speakeasy Sour, it was delicious and tasted like another. I had the porkchop dinner sub'd out Brussel sprouts for roasted carrots. Delicious, decadent and just a bit of lip smacking spice that paired well with my "Everybody's Porter" I heard they had a secret dessert menu and I had a 20's (1920's) burnt sugar cake which I paired with a Sazerac. Both were equally yummy. Opened just 3 months ago, I can't say enough but this...
