Texas County Meat Processing LLC — Local services in Cabool

We trusted this facility to process our steer with USDA inspection, as required for selling through local stores. Not only did they fail to have it inspected (despite charging us for it), but this costly mistake means we now have an entire beef that we legally cannot sell. Their only solution was to refund the inspection fee—hardly sufficient given the financial hit to our farm.

To make matters worse, they told us our order was ready for pickup, but when we made the 30-mile trip, it wasn’t all there. Now we have to make another unnecessary trip for meat we can’t even sell. This has been an incredibly frustrating and expensive experience. We expected professionalism and reliability but...

Will not be back. Nor do I recommend this place to anyone! I had my first deer processed at S&M, had a great experience. Came here for my second deer because S&M was full. Well I got 1/2 the weight of what my first deer was and they said thats all it was. I can't see how that's possible. The first one was average and this one too, but 20 lbs difference? I think not!

They told me they likely have less because they are a usda certified plant and they trim better and take the bones out and cut out bad areas where other places don't do.

I really question this place. I guess I'm going to ask some people about what goes on here. In a small town, it wont be hard...

I went to pick up a motorcycle I bought and got some reason my GPS took me to the meat processor. I figured the guy worked there so I was getting out to go inside and ask when BANG !!
