Floor clerks don’t have the right answers. Floor clerk sold me the wrong plumbing part. I went to Waggoner’s True Value in Willow Springs and got the right part. Twice I’ve had dissatisfaction when having paint mixed. Once I even brought in the color card from the previous purchase and they got it wrong, it didn’t match. The last time I purchased paint I got the distinct impression from the one helping me that he was being inconvenienced and just wanted to get my paint mixed so he could get back to his other duties. I had a sample paint card and I had painted on the bottom portion of it the color I was trying to match. I had no idea that they could do computer matching. I showed him the color card and what I was trying to match and he made no mention of computer matching. I told him to mix it to the closes match on the card which I chose. After mixing it I ask if there was any way he could get a closer match. That’s when he said, if you had had a bigger sample I could have computer matched it. I Said, Now you tell me. That’s when he went and got someone else to help me so he could get back to his other duties. But I was already stuck with that paint. I’ll never get over this dissatisfaction. But maybe that’s a good thing, every time I see it, I will be reminded to go somewhere else. I rely on a knowledgeable staff to steer me the right direction and sell me the right part. After Selling me the wrong plumbing part I tried to install it, after all they sold it to me as the right part, that’s when I went to True Value and after getting the right part that’s when I realized that CHC never had the right part to begin with. I believe that is why the floor clerk just went ahead and sold me the wrong part. And I don’t think they would be so quick to accept the return when it was all marked up with channel lock teeth marks and such. Another time my mother-in-law and I went in and this same woman was at the register again, and walked away when we approached her with a question. She walked into the back, and kept peeking out to see if we were gone. I wish I were making this stuff up. Everyone we know locally avoids this place like the plague. We gladly drive several miles out of our way to go to other businesses to get what we need. It's a true shame since it's here in town and so convenient.
