TL;DR Apartments cost too much. They will charge you move out charges and not have any documentation as to why, while keeping your money.
To start, I would recommend looking somewhere else to live if you dont want to end up spending a ton of a money to live in alright apartments. While the apartments do look nice, they are no different than most nicer apartments, on top the floors and walls are very thin. I was constantly harassed by by downstairs neighbor for imaginary noises and "walking too loud".
The contracts tack on fee after fee, and will make how much it costs to live there just not worth it. I lived in a 1 bedroom 700 sq ft. apartment and payed more than my current house payment a month, not including utilities. The fees include, living on a specific floor, extra fee. Having a view of the pond, extra fee. Having a pet, which is a $300 fee + another fee every month. There are probably more I'm unaware of, and this was also the cheapest apartment they provide.
I've lived in 3 different apartments before this one, and I never had to spend so much time in the office speaking to the management. The management is a joke, that changed hands 2/3 times while i was living there, and they will never call you back. I attempted to get a hold of the current manager, Pamela, for 3 weeks because i received a reimbursement of $5 from my pet deposit instead of $100 refundable deposit ($100 of the $300 is refundable if there is no damage, which there was not). I was told i would be called 8-10 times during that 3 weeks. I finally received a call after complaining about her to the corporate office. I simply was trying to figure out why i was charged the $95 for cleaning when i moved out, after i cleaned the apartment extensively right before i gave the keys up. The apartments I've lived in before never charged me a cleaning fee, and i always cleaned up pretty well. When i finally got a hold of the manager, she told me they had no documentation as to why they charged me these charges, just that the carpet was cleaned and a move out cleaning charge. Most apartments give an itemized description of why the charges were made, and when I said that they probably charge everyone these charges i was greeted with a hostile, "That's not true". They are basically scam artists just trying to charge you as much as they can, and from what i can tell the current manager is incompetent to be in her position.
Long story short, you're going to get charged move out charges, while paying way to much to live there anyway.

Read moreWe have been living at The Pointe for nearly two years now and we are about to re-sign our lease for the third time. We live in a 3bd 3ba which is more like a house than an apartment. Very spacious for my family of 4. I also love that we are given the option to rent a garage, which we do, for added storage (on top of the closet on our patio).
We have always felt extremely safe in our community to the point that I will jog around the complex with my ear buds in at any time of morning/afternoon. And I am even training for my first 5k in our gym here, which I absolutely love.
We are so enamored with management's enthusiasm for attention to detail with taking care of upkeep for the property. The grounds are meticulously manicured. We know the landscapers at this point who are here every week. And they are very sweet and thoughtful people when around the cars and patios etc.
Staff has become like family who have watched our kiddos grow up! Miss K has been here with us since we toured and got placed on the wait list and we are so thankful that she's still here!
There is a reason why there is usually a wait list! It's worth the short...
Read moreOverall the place is nice. Friends that have rented and came over like it better than where they were even though it cost more, roughly 150 to 200 per month or more depending on which layout you rent. However parking for certain buildings is terrible. 12 renters for my building but 15 space plus 5 covered, which is extra, but with a building right beside it you have another 12 renters. Which doesn't include couples that each have a vehicle. Second I swear power goes out once a week. It just went out, it was out 2 days ago and at least 2 other times the past 2 weeks. One of which it was out for 12 hours at 10pm no ac that night. It is nice and does offer things such as a community grill and pool. Which people use often, but for the simple fact there are so many outages and lack of parking is why I give it a 2. *also it is gated, but 80% of the time the...
