Cardenas Markets — Local services in Calexico

Last time I was here I was told that an attended cash register would always be available. Today there was none, when asked the cashier or better yet clerk at the self checkout registers told me there was none. Does it appear you get answers just to get out the store quickly. If I wanted to work as a cashier I would probably have applied, not to say that it's not a respectable job. It appears the stores are getting lazier as time goes by, or don't want to get more employees. The customer ends getting frustrated using the register, having to partake in a job description that one has not applied for, I for one don't mind having to wait for my turn in line. It's this type of service that keeps me coming into the store more often. If another manager or store employee tells me that there will always be at least one register open, please don't feel upset if they are called...

On Sunday, 11-12-17 at approximately 1pm, my wife and I went to Calexico Cardenas to purchase a few items, we walked to the meat counter, no other customers were there, I decided that I wanted some carneasada, behind the counter, were only 2 employees, a male and female. The male was walking by me, I asked him could he could help me, he rudly responsed that I needed to take a number, I responded by telling the male employee that there was no other customers waiting. The employee just walked away ignoring me and my wife. However, the female employee facial expression seemed shocked over the male employee's behavior and tried to intervene by attempting to help us. Not all good they have few cash registers open. Bathrooms have been dirty since I've been there twice, with no sanitizer sheets ever! And toilet paper and paper towels are continually over flowing from trash cans Other than that food is good. As a customer I requested for a tongue taco, on the grill , I was told they do not do that. Well, I've been to other Cardenas and they do it kindly with no issue. The lady had a bit of an issue when i did request my order the way i would have liked to recieve it This is not a customer satisfaction at all. Retrain your employees.
