La Jolla Trading Post — Local services in California

I live out in Julian so this is a great place, kind of a halfway point between the 15 and home. I drive a diesel truck and this gas station has the absolute lowest price on diesel in all of San Diego and Los Angeles county’s. The store is basic enough but they always have coffee and any snack he stuff that you might need for your drive. Also, I believe starting May 20 they are opening a little casino off to the side of the store. I’ll have to check it out on my next visit. Also, there are many times that I happen to be going by very early in the morning and to stop for a moment, take and a few breaths of fresh air and check out the scenery is awesome! I buy all of my gasoline here and am very happy with the store itself, the staff and the cleanliness. Not so much the lack of a consistant supply of cigarettes. They are OUT of Senecas frequently and the lack of respect for the hundreds of dollars monthly that myself and others spend is off putting. When you ask when they will restock the answer is always "I dunno". Perhaps ordering a larger quantity is in order, perhaps management could call their distributor to ascertain delivery date would be in order as well. It is reasonable to assume between cigarettes and gasoline that we spends $1000's of dollars annually without proper customer service. Great vibe. Had trailer trouble with a car I was towing. The Tribal authority was super cool and helpful. The women at the CASINO also very friendly , very helpful . As well the clerks inside the store and some kids were having a good time. Great coffee too. I had to park in the lot for some time-longer than anticipated- waiting for my road side assistance call to be answered but I felt very secure here. Very safe. No better Reservation and gas station around! :) $3.16 a gallon currently. It is brisk here on the mountain so bring a coat!
