While trying to do an out of state license waiting approximately an hour with an appointment. Going through the line after check in to get a number I was told to wait for my number to be called. Once I was called it was an additional thirty minutes in which I went to counter number 7 and a lady who I knew was going to give me a hard time because of her demeanor succeeded. 8 months pregnant this entire time was exasperating but the counter lady cut me no slack. She signals her supervisor who tells me I can’t present the documents I have despite the previous counter saying I could. I gave two forms of documentation that clarified I had a valid license in another state. Then the lady at the counter makes a very stupid remark “mami jersey is a different place than Philly”. The supervisor was not much better trained with customer service and refused to give me no more than a first name “Jen” when I requested her name. The entire time with an appointment I thought would be a breeze. I even explained to the lady at the counter I had to urinate she could care less. The lack of professionalism especially for people with titles as supervisor is unheard of. The lack of empathy to tell me I can come back again like it’s a simple task is utterly insensitive as well as ridiculous. If this is the way people are going to be treated here they need to understand that the general public is not being held with any sort of respect. I intend to escalate this complaint in every facet possible so that no one else especially not a pregnant woman in their last trimester has to endure such cruel treatment. Are you seriously doing a job as a service to people here or is it your intention to make people be totally inconvenienced? The woman at counter 7 I don’t have a name for but the incident occurred February 18 at 3:56 pm. So I’m sure someone will be able to figure out who she is. In the future she should also know Philly and jersey are different because one is a city and one is a state. Also my name isn’t “mami”. It’s proper to address people by their names especially in professional atmospheres. I am so upset that my intentions to establish myself in this state have been ruined because of the actions of the people here who were supposed to assist me. Ultimately they were not helpful or the least courteous at all. Wasted my entire efforts and almost three...
Read moreI went back & forth to this place 6 times to get all the info they required to transfer my license from PA to NJ because I recently moved from Philadelphia. Just about every person I talked to were unclear in their instructions and behaved like I annoyed them for asking them questions. IN ADDITION when I did come back with what they asked me to come back with and it wasn't specifically what they asked for they treated me like it was my fault for not "following their UNCLEAR directions" ALTHOUGH I recapped with the manager before I left to obtain my info (even though she had an attitude about it) to make sure I understood her clearly.
For Example: My 3rd or 4th time there, I was told by the person at the front desk that I needed an "abstract", I asked "what's an abstract?" and I was told "It's like a history of your records as a driver" so I go back to Philadelphia to print out an "abstract" and take it back to NJ MVC. It was a guy at the front desk this time who ok'd it and gave me a ticket to wait about 30-45 minutes. By the time they called me up, it was like 10 minutes to closing. The girl, who didn't even know what an abstract was, spoke to her supervisor and they told me it was the wrong one because it wasn't "state certified"
Even though that was frustrating enough, THAT'S NOT EVEN THE WORST OF IT! So I called PennDot to acquire on how to get a "State Certified Abstract". So I did so and it took about 2 weeks to mail it out to me. I took it back to NJ and she told me it's not the correct certified abstract because what I had was a "driving history abstract" and not a "driver's abstract". So after expressing my frustrations with her, she drops the bomb on me that "I never needed an abstract in the first place because I already had a license.
Here's the last kicker, this branch told me that they don't issue my type of license (interlock license) at their location and I had to go all the way to Trenton. Needless to say, I went to Trenton and wasn't able to get my license there. This location has the worst trained, inpatient, and unprofessional staff ever. I wish I can give you all lower...
Read moreWaited in line outside five minutes before 8:00am. They opened a few minutes after 8:00am. Waited in line for a re-take of my CDL exam and nobody told me last time that I needed to fill out an exam receipt EVERY time I come back for a re-test. Not enough pens for everyone filling out forms, finally got one from someone done. Filled the slip out and waited in line again. Got to the front of the line and was told that I forgot to fill out the back, literally a one minute checkbox section. No pen, had to get out and wait in line AGAIN. Got to the front, was told that I can't have a cross out (the number 5 I wrote in my birthdate was sloppy, so I crossed it out and re-wrote it so it's legible). This was not even mentioned the second time I stood in line, the lady wasn't paying attention to anything filled out. I gave up and left with a blank slip. This place is too small for the amount of traffic. The employees (term used loosely) won't greet you with a good morning or anything for that matter. You get looked at when the person in front of you walks off. There is no humanity in this motor vehicle, just a bunch of lazy people pretending to work. I'm disgusted about the processes it takes just to get a number so you can wait some more (like a deli counter)! No sense of urgency at all and the people talk of the same if you listen to what's being said inside the lines. Spent half an hour in lines and left. I cannot even progress in life because of the hindrances caused by others' laziness! This mvc is a pathetic attempt at serving the people, but they'll take your money promptly, must be nice. I dislike the mvc altogether, but this one is the worst by far! I'd rather get a tooth pulled because at least I'm confident of the outcome. Gross negligence of privileges demonstrated by all the people running this facility. Don't waste your time. Grossly...
