I had been trying to throw my money at ski fanatics (ski shop around the corner) all winter. They kept failing me. No diamond stones in December or any tuning equipment in stock. On the day I went to pick up my daughter’s rental equipment I was told the only pair of skis her size they had were mounted incorrectly. I had taken her in in February to be fit & then walked in a few days ago to make a reservation for her equipment which they don’t take. I was assured they had plenty of equipment for me & it wouldn’t be a problem. Therefore I went over to Exit 28 Ski & Snowboard Rentals & they hooked us up with appropriate rentals PLUS a helmet which was never an option at Ski Fanatics apparently. Exit 28 was extremely quick & very welcoming. A staffer carried our equipment out to our vehicle as well. Mike the owner at Exit 28 is the best experience I have ever had renting demo skis and getting work done on my other skis ! Even came back to his shop after he closed it because we hit traffic on the way up from NJ. MIKE us an honest and knowledgeable shop owner and you can tell he lives what he does. His partner at the shop is also great and knows his skis. Great place to buy one or current seasons Demi’s as well. I’ve rented at many places in the past 6-7 ski trips while looking to upgrade my skis. Mike was wonderful and patient as we discussed features. He was quite flexible and bent over backwards to help me be sure I found the best skis and boots for me. I found my best equipment match and love them! Good for Mike, my whole family buying equipment from him.
