I have already reported this initially in patient feedback but I wanted to wait to leave this public review until I finished my toxicology class and med phys 2. That way I would be able to use the correct terms. Last summer I was bit by a brown recluse. I present to the ER here and the FNP tells me it probably wasn't that and that I have the flu. I have a clear bite mark, a photo of the dead spider, and I'm able to explain my symptoms really clinically. I had all the hallmark symptoms, couldn't stop vomiting, and I was crying from how bad the cramps were in my arms and legs. They gave me Zofran/Ondansetron for the vomiting. When I asked why since Zofran is mainly for gut irritation-induced vomiting he rolled his eyes and told me he thought I had stomach flu and that this kind of bite reaction would be really rare to see outside of a pediatrics. He also tested me for strep and covid. I had a bite mark on my arm and am yellow with intrahepatic jaundice and they are swabbing my nose and telling me I have the flu and covid. I am in an SMP program at a medical school and yet they are telling me that I have "white coat syndrome" and my heart rate is up bc I'm "scared of doctors". Nothing made sense and I feel that if I hadn't had the background knowledge from school I probably wouldn't have been able to advocate for myself and know to go to another clinic. They did eventually give me an antibiotic after I cried and pleaded with them, but not after rolling their eyes and making it clear they didn't think I needed it "just to be safe". The next week I go to an actual physician (not in Canton), who diagnoses me with systemic loxoscelism as a result of the bite. They could not believe how jaundiced I was and I had a white rash all over my body. He does a full workup and of course my liver enzymes (AST/ALT), prothrombin, and bilirubin are crazy high and I'm still in severe pain. He starts me on the proper meds and pain relivers, and scheduled me for follow up bloodwork a few times after. It was so nice to have the validation and concern instead of eye rolling, dismissiveness, and being told that my high heart rate and symptoms were the flu or "white...
Read moreThis is a place that Dr's will put their own personal screwed up ideological personal beliefs That are not based biblically or scientifically over actual medical symptom, clusters And treatment options I realized after several years of coming to the Nearest system. Accessible? That my Vehicle. receives better care and attention based on multipoint 24 -150 point Maintenance. Evaluation's. inspections. When I get an oil change, or Service then the doctors and medical staff in this system. Will evaluate you with Healthcare Which is what Mds and Medical staff are supposed to do or Listen to you. Visually evaluate. Look up and inform you of options For healthcare?. But if you're educated and know how to do it Look up treatment protocols., And can and want to actively participate in having good healthcare for your future and children's children you'll find that they are highly offended by you. For looking up options, they don't want to do Based on personal belief.( they wanna be in and out as quickly as possible. (No protocol for standardized human care.) Dr's do not want not have to take the time to research, or look into better Options for you. Even when their system is falling short Not being able to provide timely care It may not be the doctor's complete fault. It may be the system screwing them up as well. Because everyone has become subservient. To pharmaceutical companies and the healthcare industry insurance companies dictating our care or( Rationing our care for their own profits.) and not allowing people and their doctors to actually have Good functioning. healthcare. Or just improve the quality of day to day life. those options should be provided for those citizens. Based on the science, does it work For...
Read moreI went to this place of “medicine” to be treated for very, very extreme abdominal pain, I had the worst experience I’ve ever had in all my life. Avoid this horribly run racist facility at ALL costs please! I was signed in by a woman named Karen and proceeded to wait for almost TWO hours to be seen, no complaints or issues on that part as i wasn’t expecting to be seen soon. Karen did not inform me of any issues when I signed in, I told her my age and gave her my insurance which she took right away. About an hour and a half in I was taken in the back to take a urine sample. After waiting in the front waiting room for another 30 minutes or so, I was brought back. Now this lady was rude and right away I could tell she was reluctant to treat me. She began asking me strange questions like if my mother knew I was there, if I lived at home, i was in an amount of pain that my vision was going black and the LVN was too concerned about my personal life to give me medical care. She then says they cannot treat me without a relative present. AFTER WAITING TWO HOURS THEN I AM TOLD THAT. Why didn’t the lady who took my sample say anything? The receptionist? This place is horrendous and unprofessional to the MAXIMUM. If I was married to my boyfriend I’m sure they would’ve treated me no issues. I am 17 years old, graduated from high school at 16 and moved to grand saline to live with my boyfriends family and go to college in Tyler. THAT IS NOT A MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS BUSINESS! I will be pursuing this to find out why I wasn’t told sooner Absolutely ridiculous and not expected from a...
