WARNING-BEWARE - I recently purchased a beautiful. Art Deco entrance door. I could not take it home for a few days. A sold tag was put on it but was NOT moved to the sold area as I was told it would. When I came to pick it up,...it was gone. A man came, tore my sold sign off , paid for it and drove away with my door. This actually is a felony due to the doors value. If the man can be ID'd , I WILL prosecute. The store manager said, don't worry, this happens all the time, we'll refund your money. He then said "Bad things happen to people every day around the world. Whatever that was supposed to mean. Ironically,...when I was waiting for my refund, I overheard an employee complaining that he would have to call a customer and tell her the same story, someone had bought a dresser shes already paid for. No excuse for this! If you see someone selling an entrance door with 3 round intersecting windows in it....it;s mine! Please let someone know,....thanks. So if you buy something there, take it with you immediately, before it grows legs, walks away...and you'll never see it again. Poor business practice, poor management, and poor employees. I overheard one man in delivery talking to another that he could not wait to find another job and get the H### out of there. How professional! ...
Read moreStore is somewhat clean. Roof was leaking at a steady rate onto a dining room table they were selling. A couple emoyees saw it and shrugged it off. It looked like a nice finished table. The couches were a real treat. A couple of the couch frames had completely different cushions on it from another couch. Not enough room to navigate all of the furniture section. One person going through the aisles is a struggle, two trying to get through, forget about it. They have a lot of furniture(couches, loves eats, recliners, rockers and end tables. Lots and lots of end tables and coffee tables. They also have an eclectic selection of housewares. Up the ramp to the upper section is the diy area. The lighting is poor, but there is a multitude of construction pieces and remodeling fixtures. The prices have went up, the quality of some of the items is questionable. The good thing is, if you have an imagination you can, paint or refinish a piece. The money taken in goes to a very worthy cause, so I ignore the shortcomings. Of course after browsing, I usually leave with a cart full of items. If you like to browse, are a handyman or handy woman, you will like it here. If you like going to the area thrift stores, this is the...
Read moreBe very careful what you donate to this place as their dumpster is always full. The stuff they throw away is completely mind-boggling, we're talking brand new stuff donated from one of the box stores or local contractors. There's a reason they keep their dumpster behind a chain-link enclosure with cameras watching it. They don't want you to see what's inside. The stuff they sell is drastically overpriced for what it is, a lot of stuff you can buy cheaper at Home Depot. I'll be completely honest here I got in some trouble and had to do community service so I chose habitat for Humanity because I've been in the construction trades for more than 30 years. To say the least I was shocked by the amount of donations that goes straight into the dumpster. I'm not talking about broken or damaged goods a lot of the stuff is better than the stuff they put on the floor. They really need to evaluate the leadership at least at the store level. I gave them one star because I couldn't...
