As a bride, I want to share my experience so others are aware before choosing this boutique. My initial appointment went well, and I found my dream dress. After waiting three months for it to arrive, I scheduled a fitting on a Saturday. The store was packed, and I had to wait 20 minutes past my appointment time, which I didn’t mind.

When I was finally helped, the associate dropped the dress and said, “let me know if you need help putting it on,” which I obviously did need help putting on a huge wedding dress. After she helped another bride, she came back and zipped me in. Upon seeing the dress, I immediately felt something was off—details seemed wrong, and it didn’t look like how I remembered. I started to panic, sobbing in the hallway, especially since my wedding was just a month away.

Rather than helping me visualize the dress with accessories, like the veil or heels I specifically brought in to help envision the day or even just poofing the train out, or fully buttoning the dress (idk seems like simple things that should just be done but that must just be me) they just told me alterations would fix it. The dress wasn’t even poofed correctly, so of course it didn’t look like the initial photos. This left me feeling dismissed and heartbroken. I had expected more attention and empathy, but instead, I felt like I was brushed off. The owner did give me her phone number after the fact, but I’m not really sure what the expectation was around that. The experience is already a nightmare and at this point I’m just hoping my seamstress can bridge the gap that the store created from giving such a poor experience.
