We have been in Naples since 2006 and previously used another security and home audio company for our home. Unfortunately the experience was not so great. The owner was obnoxious and just talked about himself the whole time, there were constant issues with the camera system and it was like pulling teeth to get a response from their company for service. I am so pleased to report that dealing with Ron and Sons was the complete opposite in every single way!
Ronny was so down to earth and such a nice person to work with. His pricing was very fair and he was eager to help us manage the costs of everything. We ended up installing a new alarm system, a new camera system, all new TVs and a whole house Sonos system. Every single aspect of the system is absolutely perfect and I cannot recommend the Sonos system enough! The app is fantastic, the system sounds incredible, it is super user-friendly and sounds incredible! The alarm system panel is so cool and so easy to use and the remote access features are fantastic. The security camera system is also very simple to use, has been totally reliable, and has some very cool features.
Although the system has worked without issue, I think that the employees I dealt with at the company were probably the best part of the overall experience. We had a few questions along the way, stuff that came up after as far as how to operate the system, and a few adjustments that needed to be made. Ron, Brittany, Chris, Dan and the entire company were such a pleasure to work with in every single way! They didn’t put you off after the system was sold and installed but instead were eager to fit you in to make sure that everything was to your satisfaction, and always did it in such a professional and congenial way.
Building a house and doing so with the post-pandemic supply chain crisis has been extremely challenging. Finding quality subcontractors and the escalating prices of materials are two of the most difficult factors we have had to contend with. Although that is the case with almost every other aspect of our project, it was not the case when I worked with this company. There were absolutely no issues at all of any significance, and the minor ones were addressed immediately.
Ron and his company made it happen for us and we are very grateful for their hard work! I highly recommend them and look forward to working with them in the future, as they are the type of company we want to connect with...
Read moreI paid Ron&Sons in full and in advance to install audio equipment in my home. The equipment would feed multi-sourced audio to speakers that were pre-installed in my home. They would also install surround-sound in the main "TV Room". They would also have all of the equipment operate from a single remote control device. Finally, they were to meet me at the end of the day on the day of installation to explain the system and provide instruction. I got to the house on the date specified and the install was done but no one was there to explain how things work. They instead left 2 sheets of hand written notes and diagrams to explain how these two remote control units (not one as specified) would operate my system. I was lost. Further, I was unable to get my MP3 music player to route music to various room and outdoor speakers. I called and implored them to come and explain how this system worked - Nothing; they hung up on me! Of course - they had all of my money; the job was paid in full; what possible incentive did they have to resolve the problem. I was able to get another Audio company to the house the next day (3/1) to help me get this resolved. Their findings: 1.) The speaker selector was not working at all - needed to be replaced. 2.) They over-specified equipment by requiring an additional amplifier instead of a simpler, higher capacity, tuner 3.) The MP3 input was wired to ONLY feed into the "Main TV Room" and NOT the additional room and outside speakers 4.) They were not able to have all components operating from 1 remote as specified 5.) The wiring was done in such a fashion that it made maintenance or the installation of additional equipment very difficult. Read moreWe've been a customer of Ron and Son's for 3 years. Unfortunately we found out too late that our system didn't work. No communication coming from our system, thus no one notified should we find ourselves in an emergency. After having two scare's with no calls to ensure our safety from anyone. I called Ron and Sons who tested our system over the phone. They found that it was not working. I asked if they test their systems at least once a year to ensure their product is working correctly, the answer is no. The customer is responsible to initiate checking their system for accuracy.
When one of the owners called to discuss he became defensive and made excuses. He felt this was my fault for not testing the system myself. He didn't like my suggestion to test their system at least once a year to ensure the product is working correctly. Ron expressed he's been in the security business a long time and knows what he's doing.
Thankfully our scare at 1 AM was a false alarm. This could have been much worse. The owner didn't seem to care about that fact, he was more focused on being right and proving his point. He said he could send a tech out, however would charge for that. Considering their only job is to ensure homes are secured, one would think they would willingly want to test their product frequently or at the very least, when it fails, send someone out as a courtesy. I don't understand a business mentality when expecting the customer to initiate the job they are getting paid to do.
