the one star review is against the door dash not the 5 star papa johns employee I ordered pizza and wings with papa johns for delivery. the papa johns employee said it will be delivered via door dash ,I told her I'm paying cash and don't have a door dash account nor would want a account because I have a land line not cell phone, she said no problem you can order without app, It was gonna be a $6.00 fee. I Called back and canceled as I thought the whole sub contracting to door dash was weird(Ive never order with door dash, uberetc) . While on my way to pick up my order the (doordasher) called my house and started to yell rant rave and threaten my senior citizen father that I cant cancel, I owe him money , my dad a former attorney said you cant threaten people the dasher got even more angry and said he doesn't care (If the dasher had done this to me he would of been escorted downtown to the federal building to face more felony chargers then the dash fee!!!!).When I showed up to papa johns the dasher was shaking and was angry he said are you Jacob I said yes he then blocked my food as if it was his prisoner and demanded that I own him the full amount and I cannot cancel orders. Seeing his state of mind I decided to pay the full amount ,I then asked and a tip to ,he said yeah you owe me a tip angerly so I tipped him $5.00 for nothing not knowing yet how he treated my father. I am pappalled how he treated my father an Army veteran and me a retired USMCR combat war veteran. My hire up's in the federal government now have a case on him!!! So does the specials agents from the VA and DOD. This man should not be employed nor trusted even with a broom. If the dasher reads this enjoy Leavenworth I hear its hot this time of year SEMPER...
Read moreThe driver took 35 minutes to find my apartment while inside of my small gated community (in perfect sunlight). During the process of this 35 minutes he hung up on me twice, mid conversation, saying he found it(he didn't). When I attempted to call him back and tell him that he wasn't in the right building he told me how he was at 3870, even though my address very clearly says 3711(this is twenty minutes in FYI). As I was attempting to direct him the third phone call, he continually would interupt me mid sentence about something. When he finally got to my floor I had the door wide open looking at him as he staggered up the stairs and walked in a wavy path. I don't know if he was intoxicated, but his stammering words and walking sure seemed like it.
When I got my order, small pizza, extra pepporcinis and a 2L of soda. The 2L of soda and the pepporcinis were missing, and the pizza was ice cold. Called and attempted to speak with the manager who, didn't offer an apology -- which doesn't fix it but would be nice at least. In fact she came off as if I was bothering her. No reimbursement offered, and I didn't ask for one -- I did expect one however.
Terrible experience. Terrible customer service. Hopefully I was wrong about that driver. Hopefully they try to be better in the future. Finding an address in a small apartment complex doesn't take 35 minutes.
1 star because someone managed to answer the phone and put someone on it who could speak words coherently.
Update: After two calls to try and get the issue resolved I spoke with what I believe was a very friendly new manager who smoothed everything over and was apologetic. I appreciate that the problem was acknowledged and something was done to make things...
Read moreOkay so I usually order from Domino's and their Pizza lately has not been great. So I wanted to try somewhere different and had decided to pick some pizza up for my kids for dinner. I have had the experience that when you order the specials where you have to buy two to get them for six or seven dollars the quality is very poor but I had high hopes for Papa John's. It was horrible. The order was ready fairly quick however when I walked in the store there was a gentleman there who wasn't wearing an apron wasn't wearing gloves was sweating profusely and was not a very nice person or happy. My 2-year-old daughter said hello he ignored her and I asked him if he was the only person working in the store he answered yep so I did feel bad for him for that. The pizza quality when I got home was extremely poor! It had hardly any sauce on it and the crust itself was flat in some spots the pizza was awkward and Miss shaped as well as the cuts themselves the slices were horrible there was a slice of pizza that was 1 in wide it was just horrible. I just feel like when you order these pizzas even if they are the medium specials they should be treated the same as a specialty pizza or any other pizza and made the same. I will never go to this Papa...
