Food Giant — Local services in Cape Girardeau

Was there on May 27th 2019 lady and the bread area was very nice and helpful. the checkout lines however need some help they were very busy and not enough people to really check people out. But overall experience was much better than we had at schnucks the same day. Edit... 6-22-21 went there today and bought meat... Sirloin tip roast was tough and chewy after cooking 4 hours in the Crock-Pot. Very sad!!! 2-6-22 they just jacked their prices up again where they're five for 1999 is now 5 for 2499 this is silly and ridiculous there's no reason that they had to do it I noticed that they put the beef back out there because they jacked the price out in the past few months they had no beef available at any time for that so it's convenient for them to put it back out now that they check the price up another five bucks. Plus the package is a meter getting...

Food Giant has nice , flavorful fried chicken and fish ,& cooked pork, along with sides for a nice quick meal for a long day of work or just a lazy day for cooking. You can also get large amounts for party's ( I would call ahead). And of course some nice breads or Hawaiian rolls to accompany that chicken ! They have nice fresh produce. We got delicious fruits last time we shopped. Prices can be a bit on the higher side for dairy and other products, but we enjoy the good service and fresh foods. You can find all assortments of snacks , drinks ( soft and hard) and canned and frozen foods. There meat section is a plus w/ the buy 5 for $20. / $25. Lots of choices too. Breads, cereals, baby products, a small selection of medicines and paper and feminine products...

This is a decent place with prices that range in comparison to other stores. There's something in particular I like to get here because it's cheaper than just about anywhere else, which is obviously something positive about the store. However, their teammates are super awkward, AND Google says they close at 11, but they locked the doors up a few minutes after 10 tonight. If 11 is incorrect, please fix it. I was highly disappointed when I walked up to the door and was told they're locking up. I was also extremely confused because Google says otherwise. Just fix it to avoid another situation like this if this information is incorrect. Otherwise, maybe an employee should get in trouble for closing the store...
