Update...10/29/24 the lower grade replacement air conditioner they gave us. just crapped out too. That's three air conditioners in 2 years. Don't buy window units from this place.
Note* don't spend a large amount of money there if there's a chance you will need a cash refund. If you spend $500 on an air conditioner and take it back the next day because it quit working you will not get your cash back. But a lovely gift card something you can't spend anywhere else. I've spent several thousands of dollars at this location in just under 3 years. Mostly soil, paint, hot water heater, PVC supplies, plants trees. Extremely expensive pool supplies. Just to name a few. I've never had to return anything until I've dropped 550 bucks on a window unit. Had to have it replaced. just quit working. We've had it replaced again 14 months later. All within the listings 2-year warranty. So two air conditioners within two years both have crapped out. The customer service was the poorest I'd ever received. But you'll go up ounce of care whatsoever. I asked to speak to the store manager or manager on duty. They refused and sent some one else that didn't do nothing but escalate a situation she had no idea what she was talking about. Tell me I would have to contact the manufacturer about the AC. However that's not what the listing told me to do it told me to bring it to the store. I asked again this week to the store manager. Finally the mod casually walks up. Gives me an air conditioner that's not even as powerful as the one that crapped out. And $180 gift card that I will never spend. And we still have an AC problem being not enough of it. They didn't have anything in stock equivalent to accommodate our needs refuse to give me a refund and sent us on our way smiled at the door. I've worked in customer service my whole life 20 plus years. And I still currently do. If I had talked to my customer the way that woman talk to me today I would expect not to have a job. I'm done with Menards I'll go back to Lowe's a little bit more for a better product and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI don't shop at Menards a lot because they are a distance from my home. Today 09/02/20 I shopped there. Wearing a mask is policy..... required!! To that I say...WHATEVER! I am asthmatic and on a good day I have a hard time breathing. "They" don't care. Wear a mask regardless. I am healthy and not sick. Because if I was sick, I wouldn't be out in public. I stayed 6 feet away from whomever...respected their space. Stayed away from everyone. Even when I checked out...I stayed away...you approached me. Did you sanitized the belt...did you sanitized the credit card machine....did you sanitized your hands after you helped the people a head of me and you got close and personal with them? Answer is NO to all the above. The ladies in the customer service area...when you talked about someone please don't make it obvious. I wasn't rude...I simply stated "NO". So if it a requirement please make sure your employees do the same...which they did not...the guy over in the light department had his mask off eating popcorn and looking at his computer and the gentlemen that help us over in the board section did not wear his mask(he was also talking to someone before we needed help with his mask down). When you don't comply they are hateful people. The cashier said if she would have seen me without my mask she wouldn't have checked me out but you see my husband wore his mask, he put the things on the belt....all I did was pay for it...while keeping my distance. I simply said no but they still took my money. I do wear my mask when I am up close and personal and when I can't keep my distance...by my choice. So I guess my mask was fitting today "Not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have never enjoyed a store so much as menards. I have literally gone in there multiple times with only a few things on my list and even though I know where to find about everything, I still will lose track of time and browse and realize that 3 hours just passed. It has a huge diversity of item, I love the 11% rebate. I usually only go there when they are having it and that's like every 2 weeks it seems. The prices are great and I have compared them and many are cheaper then even Walmart on the same item. If I find myself bored, I'll just go there and browse and learn stuff about the purpose you would use many things. Even though I gave it 5 stars, it's not perfect and here are the reasons: The staff, even though they are helpful and friendly, they don't seem to be as intelligent on there products as they do more Lowes employees. Zach at Lowes is my go-to-guy for hardware questions! He is very incite full about tools! Also the way you checkout there is odd. Might as well be self check out! They don't bag, I grab my receipt so I might as well be scanning my own items. Oh and they need more places to put you shopping cart. I'll find myself drenched from having to sprint 50 yards to put my cart and this is a major pet peve. I hate the lazy ppl that don't care of the possibilly that there cart might roll into a car or its the reason why I can't park my truck where I want. Ok I got carried away lol but I still love Menards! I have over $ 100 in rebate I'm about to go...
