Let me just say this, From the time I stepped foot on site, I had an excellent customer service experience. My saleswoman, Ashley Griggs was the most helpful, No pressure, Informative, thoughtful sales person that I’ve ever dealt with on a car lot. She asked all the right questions to get the information that she needed to help me best and then she gave me options complete with monthly payments and financing info without running my credit just based off of the credit score that I shared with her. I decided to take some time and think about my options as well as check out some other options at a different dealership. She did not try to pressure me to make a decision on the spot(As a lot of dealerships would have done. In fact, most of them are told that once you walk out the door, they’ve lost the sale so they don’t know how to allow you the space and time to consider your options. They’d rather pressure you in the moment to lock you in.) So I left with options. I felt good about with a sales person I felt I could trust. I left, went to another dealership where I wasn’t even greeted. Then I was told I could not even look at a car or test drive a vehicle until I was already officially approved for that vehicle because they didn’t want to allow me to get my hopes up about a vehicle That I liked, but in the end may not qualify for. They ran my credit and approved me for a vehicle that they selected for me out of the 3 I said I was interested in and told me this is what the bank would allow me to get. So that was the vehicle that they would allow me to see and test drive. After I test drove the vehicle, I told them that that was not the vehicle that I was most interested in so they asked me what vehicle I was most interested in and then ran my credit for that vehicle as well and told me that I could not be approved for that vehicle they’re sorry I couldn’t see it. To which I responded luckily I have a preapproval from someone else and gave them my reference number which then allowed me to see the vehicle and test drive it. Although I liked both vehicles, the one I thought that I wanted was actually the worst one, so I decided that I would , take a second look at the options. Ashley showed me and I reached back out to her and she told me to come back to the office and she would run my credit and see what we could do. I tried to leave the other dealership and the salesman didn’t want to let me leave the dealership without me having one of his vehicles in hand so he told me wherever I was going that I could use the new vehicle that he was trying to get me a better deal on to go wherever I needed to go just so I could get a feel for the vehicle by myself. So I left with their vehicle and went back to the other dealership where I was treated fairly and respectfully by Ashley Griggs. I told her to help me get into the vehicle we had previously selected. Miss Kim (the finance manager)was able to work her magic And got me a loan with a 9% lower interest rate than what I came in preapproved with while simultaneously, addressing the other concerns, I had. So once My my deal at Nissan was done Ashly did me the honor of driving the other dealerships vehicle back to them and picking up the one I left !!!! Lol. Who runs the...
Read moreThe only reason why this business got two stars instead of one is because of the one guy in there that was always willing to put air in my tires.
For reference: My car is a 2019 Honda Civic with about 66K miles on it. I bought it in March of 2023.
I was sold a car that they knew wasn’t up to any par, and I claim half responsibility for not doing better research. However, when it came to 8/18/2023, I had something happen with the air in my tire. I took it to Nissan and they told me it was a broken tire valve. No problem. I paid for it and they fixed the tire valve.
My tire pressure light was still on. And I got the run around from the company. “You just have to drive it for a bit.”, “You have to set up an appointment with our master technician.”, “You actually don’t have this part.”, “We’ll have a new diagnostic tool that comes in a week and we’ll give you a call.” And they never called. And my tire pressure light stayed on. Every service I got, every time I came in to get air, nothing ever got fixed.
Then my car stops working. I can’t get it to shift out of gears, can’t get it to turn on and stay on to run. I get it towed to Nissan and they were called prior so they would know my car was coming. They claimed they had no idea it was going to be dropped off. They had my car for weeks after that. “Running tests.” No calls, no updates. Not until we called. Not until we showed up. Now it’s the same excuses. “Our diagnostic tool doesn’t work on this car.”, “The other diagnostic tool will tell us and we’ll try that tomorrow and call.” And then they didn’t.
Then, we call and they tell us there’s nothing they can do and to send it elsewhere. No further help from them. We had to make them get the car over to the other dealership for them to fix. And what do you know? Cape Girardeau Honda knew exactly how to fix a car they never sold to me in the first place. From August 2023-March 4, 2024, I had problems with my car that John Sinclair Nissan seemingly ignored. And then John Sinclair Nissan has the audacity to tell me it was a pleasure to service my vehicle.
Upon talking to others, I’ve found at least 10+ people who tell me that they wouldn’t recommend John Sinclair Nissan for ANYTHING. And now, unfortunately for them, I agree.
I don’t recommend buying your car from this establishment, servicing your car at this establishment (save for the man who filled my tires), or even wasting time calling this establishment...
Read moreI purchased my car over the summer, the salesman was awesome. The same day I left the lot I realized there wasn’t a spare tire in my truck and contacted salesman to let him know, he told me it was being ordered. I had my car not even a week when I started not wanting to accelerate. It didn’t happen all of the time, but was happening more times than not most days. I called the car lot, trying to get my car in to be looked at. The woman I spoke to on the phone kept telling me it would be the following week that I could get in. It was hot outside, way too hot for my car to not be working while 2 small children were inside. I hated to tell them I would call BBB, but I had no other choice, I was paying TOO MUCH for a vehicle not to work. I also brought up the spare tire that I was told that was ordered. They got my vehicle in the following day. I got a phone call from a man saying it was possibly my mass air flow intake sensor. He told me my warranty would cover it, but it had to be cleaned first to know forsure if that was the issue. The warranty would not cover it and wanted me to pay out of pocket. I then got a phone call that afternoon that is was the mass airflow intake and my warranty took care of it. I picked my car up that evening, I parked it long enough to get myself ready for work. My car refused to accelerate again. It did it 3 times on my 10 minute ride to work. The dealership was closed so I called back the next day, and dropped my car back off to them only to call and tell me the battery was internally shorted and I would need to purchase a new battery. Of course I had to come out of pocket. A day or 2 later I was told my spare tire was up there. I picked it up from services only for the tire they “ordered me” to be covered in mud and absolutely filthy. I carried the spare that I waited on for 6 weeks out to my car and the mud ended up staining my shirt. I chose to go through Nissan because it seemed like a pretty good reputable company, and I had heard many pleasant things about them. After my experience I don’t personally would not recommend them, and have zero intentions of going...
