This amazing store really made me wish I had a whole lot more money, because I wanted to buy EVERYTHING. The best and most wonderfully varied selections. From very Scandinavian items, such as the dala horses (from huge to tiny, and w EC earrings), beautiful sweaters, food & candy, to Christmas items, gorgeous jewelry, trays, scarves, handbags and a selection cards you wouldn’t believe. And, the holy grail… manly gifts! My hubby was lusting over knives & outdoor items. The prices are reasonable & range from a few bucks to stuff worth saving up for. But, the best part was the personalities! The 2 folks there the day we stopped in were so fun! They brought items to our attention without being pushy & now have us hooked on an imported chocolate (SNEAKY!!! One bite & hubby did an about-face & bought some!!). Monica's Scandinavian Gift Shop has been a highlight of our annual summer trip to The County. There is something for everyone. Scandinavian kitchen ware, glassware, linens, cards and stationary, jewelry, vegan handbags, woolens infant gifts and childrens' books, Dansko shoes sandals and clogs. And the service is exceptional, they are happy to special order, ship to you, and everything gets a free gift wrap!

Make sure you give this great little gift shop, one of Maine's best, at least an hour to do a good browse. You will not be disappointed, and are not likely to leave...

Wow! My family and I loved this store. You don't have to be Scandinavian to love it! Most things are fairly priced for the product. Many are hand made and that is going to cost more. They do have a nice clearance section upstairs where I snagged some deals. A child's mug was $2! :) I love the rug and treats we bought.
