By far the best Wildlife Rehabilitation Facility in Snohomish and King County. We recently found an orphaned tiny baby bunny in our garden. We watched it in our garden for a couple days to see if the mama would come back for it. We could tell it wasn’t eating the grass we put out so we started calling around to find a place that would take in a baby bunny.
Thank goodness we found Footprints in Carnation. Even though it was about 45 minutes away we were happy to make the trip, especially after speaking with the nice lady on the phone. We didn’t arrive until after closing time around 8:30 pm and the place was very busy. But the employees were extremely welcoming and friendly. They had us fill out some forms and even let us give the bunny a name. They never once made us feel rushed and even encouraged us to call in a couple days to check on the bunny.
The outcome was wonderful which confirmed we had made the right choice for a rehab center. Thank you to everyone at Footprints for all they do to help these innocent little critters survive and thrive...
Read moreA baby squirrel fell from my really tall tree in my front yard. I left it be because my neighbor informed me that usually the mother squirrel comes back to bring its child back to the nest. But the next day came and the baby was still there! Although I understand that nature should take its course (because it’s the way of life) I couldn’t resist helping the poor baby out, so I called every possible rehabilitation center and each one sent me to voicemail, didn’t respond to my emails BUT this center! They answered my mothers phone call almost immediately and informed us that they could take it in which was so relieving! So thankful for this rehabilitation center and for all that they do, and from the looks of the place it was very promising for the baby squirrels...
Read moreI found a 3 week old baby squirrel in my yard that had fallen from his nest. We tried to get him back to his mama by putting a box on the side of the tree with him in it with a warm sock and towel over the sock as to not burn him but the mother never returned. We gave him Pedialyte as directed and puppy formula to keep him going until we could find a proper shelter for him. Kathy the owner of Footprints is great. She is very caring and knowledgeable. She has enclosed outdoor facilities where she transfers the squirrels as they mature to get them accustomed to the outdoors. She keeps all the babies in her home in an incubator to keep them warm and do the feedings every 3 hours. So glad...
