Rosemeade Recreation Center — Local services in Carrollton

After over 20 yrs of coming here...the only thing that passes me off more...closed for private lessons...and no indication online, that really messes vibes everytime...attention to some detail would help prevent these annoyances...or either the algorithm of not caring to a degree that this post will only apply to the ones that agree with this...however, I can't imagine how many times things do get stopped or closed for lessons regardless, countless times...served this country, and I love coming to workout here...either it's a sale thing or a money thing, but some communication, or update to hey closed for private event, I remember when internet barely got it going, we would be notified as time progressed...so what's so hard from tik tok post, to updating we are closed dut to an event...the sheer excitement, and build for the pool is one thing, and some people deal with so much in thought, me being hypo mania, really does not even matter to me that there's an event when I see OPEN online...very annoying, again everything else since I been a kid love it...but attention to detail has gone down a bit, and this only frustrates things more, just be up to par when yall are open, this misleading is not...

I arrived at 12:30 to set up for my granddaughters 5th birthday, with 2 large bags of balloons and my elderly father. I smiled at the desk clerk and stated what I was there for. She laughed and said, You mean the party that is supposed to start at 230? I said yes, my daughter made arrangements to set up early. She laughed again and asked who it was arranged with. I said I don't know who but I do have a screenshot of the email. I showed it to her and that it was from Kaci stating that we could come anytime because the room was available all day. (We were to pay $52 extra) She said, well there's no screenshot of the reply from you here. I was in disbelief. What was I there to do? Lie about having the room early and wreak havoc with my balloons? She then called the manager to confirm even though I had shown her proof! Then because I had a different last name than my married daughter she refused to let me in the room. I had to wait and lost an hour of my time sitting in the lobby with my balloons for my sweet grandchilds birthday and had to send my father back home. Absolutely on a power trip and an unkind woman. I do not recommend this facility until a staffing...

Review of the new wing: Negative. The new wing of Rosemeade REC Center opened this week. List of new things: Additional cardio equipment and space: NO Additional locker room and showers: NO Additional free weights and space: NO Additional machine weights and space: NO Additional basketball court: YES Indoor track: YES but way too short to be useful except walkers That's pretty much it. What the REC Center really needed most is more space in the weight room, and additional equipment like free weight and machines. Didn't get it. Second biggest need was more cardio space, and more treadmills, bikes, ellipticals. Didn't get it. The extra basketball court is nice. But that makes three of those and just one small weight room. The indoor track is nice but too short for running; its a constant curve with very little straights. Bummer this is what we waited over a year for, and it doesn't really improve what needed to be improved. Otherwise I like Rosemeade. Showers are way better and cleaner than Crosby REC. Cardio equipment is fairly new and average quality. Resistance training machines are mostly new (2023). Just not enough of them and not...
