So I went to the spot a few times a seen someone share the salon on the page and I asked for the details I came to the salon and was blown away by the aesthetic. This place is 30mins from my home but it didn’t matter to me because I liked the atmosphere and i thought I had found a nail salon home what I have been looking for. I am a great customer I tip very well and I always get a high service pedicure because I am on my feet a few times I had felt skimped on my message so I asked could I pay more money for long message not a problem boom. One day I come in for my pedicure but also wanted tips on my toes I wasn’t sure just showed her a pic I she talked me into getting gel x on my toes $160 service w my pedicure included and I tipped $20 $180 total. My toes were nice but not $160 worth I felt foolish paying that and even more foolish when my pinky nail fell off in two days I came back 30 min drive and showed her she said because your nails are to short so why would you talk me into a service if you know my nails are too short so I was going to get another pedicure but I changed my mind because the staff is snobby and rude and I tolerated the attitude because I liked the place so I changed my mind about the pedicure before I changed my mind she said she would take care of it. I just got a pedicure less than two weeks ago so I said no I spent so much money and these people are so rude I don’t want the pedicure anymore once I changed my mind I guess she did too and I had to pay $10 to fix my pinky nail that was too short for the service she talked me into to begin with. I hope I’m not hopping all over there are more details about my experience but I wanted to sum it up. So when I first went I loved this place so much but I know my worth I pay good money and I want to be treated equally I hope this is a learning...
Read moreEdit: The salon just called and offered for me to come in to have them re-done. I did decline as I don't feel confident enough that it'll be a different experience, but I wanted to acknowledge the fact that they offered to make it right.
I had a manicure done here yesterday (Sunday, June 15th). No appointment, but they were able to accommodate after a wait. I asked for a design (floral photo as inspo), but the girl struggled with it. This was my first time ever getting a design, I've only ever gotten solid colors before. Understandably I don't have as much nail space as the nails in the photo so I chose a simpler design (green & white wavy lines) but she struggled with this as well and I feel like they ended up looking like Easter eggs due to the shape of my nails (done by the other woman). I did choose the green color, but I feel like she should've known what it might come out looking like given the shape of the nail and the base color already present (baby pink). She also had to put down 4 layers of the pink because it was so splotchy. Both ladies who worked on my nails (I did not catch either of their names) seemed inexperienced, which I expect as someone without an appointment. However, I'd prefer to be told they can't do a certain design than for someone to just be practicing on me. My boyfriend is proposing soon, so I had hoped these would be the nails for our photos, but I plan on getting these re-done in a week because they just simply don't look good. The owner (manager?) didn't even charge for the design. He says because of wait time, but I suspect it's because he knew they didn't look good. Had a nice pedicure here before, so that's why I returned, but I probably...
Read moreIt was my first & last time at Queens Nails & Spa today. Despite making an appointment online and arriving early, they were late -about 10 mins- and left me waiting with my feet soaking in the cold water, not even offering me a drink as they did other customers, nor apologizing for the delay. I got an ok gel pedicure for $52. The worst was when I went to pay. They don't take Amex so I had to use another card. I did not get to choose the tip when using their machine. He just rang my card, the tip option NEVER showed on my screen when I paid, which was very unusual. He did not give me a receipt, so I asked him how much it was. He said $66. I was shocked and asked him why it was so much since I had never chosen the amount of tip I wanted to leave when I inserted my card, which was really shady. I told him that this was not the amount of tip I wanted to leave, and had NEVER been asked to enter anything for the tip on the machine at the time of payment. I told him that I wanted to leave 15%, which was generous considering the service and the wait, and I asked him to please refund the difference on my card; but instead, he just threw me a $5 bill to make up the difference, which I thought was really odd, rude, and it still wasn't in line with the 15% tip I had wanted to leave, but I gave up at this point and left. Moral of the story, make sure that you double check your final bill closely, because the way they charge at the end is quite odd and dishonest. Customer should get to choose the amount of tip they want to leave based on the service they receive. Very disappointing and gaslighting customers does not...
